new rules to speed up the game

The NRL goes to great lengths to sell us more game time with some stupid rules that will only ruin the game, and then when a scrum was to be fed last night, it was like a teddy bears picnic . 12 forwards standing around looking at each other, as if the ref was calling for volunteers for a prostate check. It took forever. I dont see the point really

For future reference, if a scrum is to be packed off to the fridge for another coldie and stop to recycle on the way back and you should have oooodles of time.

Not sure how all of these rules will pan out but geez it was great to see little or no world championship wrestling. Mr Bellamy should be afraid, very afraid.

The NRL was worried about the 400 mins time wasting.

It's probably going to drop to 200 mins after this.

Kevin Proctors tackle count will reduce to virtually zero.He has basically become an irrelevance overnight with that "third man in" rule.

The only thing I really dislike is the kicking it dead rule. I think it should only apply for kicks within the 40m of the try line, long range kicks, I think need to be encouraged, the tension they add when they pull up just inside the touchline are awesome and the new rule will discourage this
