As an aside if anyone wonders what is wrong with the NRL it is the current state of the second tier comp

In the old days we had a reserve grade comp where blokes like moorewood would go around each week. Where our youngsters would get experience ( I remember watching beaver circa 92)

Now we have the touch footy toyota cup...then what? Blokes like Glenn Hall would be playing in the state cup....

Des would do well to promote Morewood and dump some of the other forwards. His commitment is something some of them should aspire to.

Phil and Cross **** all over perry at the moment. At least Phil gets stuck in and gives it a bloody good go. If des gave him a few games of NRL then he'd be up to scratch no worries. Swap him with Perry for sure.
