Warringah Mayor Michael Regan has confirmed the extension to the Jane Try Stand would be completed by Sunday.
The works, which were delayed for a month due to wet weather, could not come at a better time with possible showers forecast for the afternoon game with the Roosters.
But other improvements to Brookvale Oval, including the new Eagles Nest Cafe, accessible lift and amenities block are still being completed.
“I can’t stress enough how annoyed we have been with the persistent wet weather but our contractors are working overtime to have the rest of the work completed,” Cr Regan said.
There will be an extra 260 standard seats, plus five accessible and five carers seats.
They are the last stage of improvements funded by a $6 million state grant and $4 million Warringah Council contribution.
