Hard to say what the plan is for outside back positions for 26
Willett probably not that far off handling i st grade level as a winger but new wing recruit Wilson already showing that he is well up to N R L standard
Looks almost certain Garrick reverting back to centre now , Schoupp handy back up , utility but surely not in i st choice run on centre category . Feledy has for whatever reason not been able to go on with it yet so looks like similar there
Ray Ray has been moved on
Sure again that Willett could go quite well as a fullback as well but would be down the list at i st grade level even if he did show some ability there in N S W cup
Looks like Faulalo may be more considered as a centre i st grade option if any issues with Koula "s and Garrick"s availability next season

Even before I saw this I would prefer playing and preserving with willet than watching Saab seemingly get worse

He was already very average, and he was largely complete poo this year. Give the kid a go.

Love to see Willett have a breakout season in 26. Haven't seen a lot of him but from when we first signed him I got the impression he's definitely a footy player, not just a tall fast athlete.

I think ( purely based on this we let TT2 go ) that we are going to see a lot of these promising juniors getting elevated next season.

Of course they won’t all be an instant success.

But we hope they are.

If we aren’t satisfied with Saab, then I don't think Willett is what we want. A slower, less experienced version of Saab with potentially slightly better hands (although I'm yet to be convinced). Again, too lanky for modern NRL. Tall is only good these days if you're powerfully built. We need wingers who have lightening acceleration off the mark with footwork and/or power. Getting out of red zone is significant

I’m a bit surprised by this. I’ve been very impressed watching him in Cup this year personally. Not the fastest but is much more of a ‘natural’ footy player & not uncoordinated like Saab.

If you think there isn’t a place in the NRL for guys built like Willett then how is Daniel Tupou having another great year? Never been the fastest or strongest but is still playing great football in year 13.

I’m a bit surprised by this. I’ve been very impressed watching him in Cup this year personally. Not the fastest but is much more of a ‘natural’ footy player & not uncoordinated like Saab.

He looks good ,can catch for a start which is impressive ,pretty quick (not effortless speed like Saab) but quick enough .Yes maybe thats why they didint go too hard for TT2 as much as I like what he has done since being here .
