Nathan Cleary

Bird of Prey

Reserve Grader
At 17 Nathan Cleary is a huge talent who would be worth having a a look at . He played in the Penrith Holden Cup last year but decided not to play in the final series but rather play for his country in the junior kangaroos side. He is a gun half / five eight and an ace goal kicker , looks like he decided not to play this season (like dad not coaching) Manly could do worse than talk to him about his future.

We were chasing him really hard apparently, he chose to stay with Penrith. You'd have to wonder though, with Moylan eventually moving to 5/8 and Te Maire Martin moving to 7, where does Cleary see himself in the side?

No matter what he is advised not to go to norths to secure a 1st grade spot.

I wonder who will play 5/8 next year? Walker is coming along nicely but the club is chasing Coote? Who knows!

Fair enough searches don't bring anything up on current location but he may have a long term injury , he is still worth a look at.

Agree great talent. But 18! At 21 will be the perfect time to make our big play. At 18 Gutho was our next biggest thing ohhh wait.
