Matt Lodge and Brown fit both categories, don't they?I wonder what is worse
A West Tigers player or a rooster cast off?
Frightening.

Short term deals a plenty, maybe saving our coin for a standout forward in 2025..Gawwd FMD are there any more "bargain basement" "minimum value" "depth" unwanted-by-any-other-club no-hopers on the float that we can offer a Last Chance Saloon to? I expect we are supposed to interpret this flurry of Cover Your Eyes signings as further proof that we are enjoying a Premiership Window. I Don't Think So. FMD.
Feels like we been saving for about 10 years now.Short term deals a plenty, maybe saving our coin for a standout forward in 2025..

The Nathan Brown Perspective.....Another very concerning signing.
Yeah weird one we did not want to match Roosters offer. Our front rowers where workman like in that great era but I see it as missed opportunitybut then we got rid of him the moment he started to come good. 🤷♂️

It reflects the predicament that Siebold has been trying to manage - too many of our forwards have played like powderpuffs for too long and they need to start pulling their fingers out. There need to be players in the 30 breathing down the top 17's necks for their spot. I don't think Woods fits the bill, but Brown might. For all of you that said Brown and Wadell are just depth.
I present exhibit A Sharon Woods -who many said the same about.
And he seemed to play a LOT of games for being just a depth player.
FMD For every good move Manly makes this offseason they follow up with a complete headscratcher.
i recon your first 28 players will be right for the squad but pretty sure lawton is going to england and even if he doesn't gordy will probably be getting that 14 role. As well as deam matterson getting that utility forwards role as depth and they have pretty high wraps on him. The last 2 spots I would give to Caleb Navale, he's the Fiji international lock and looks very promising and will be good for him to be around the squad and maybe play a few games off the bench this year. With the final spot if we have enough cash Connor Watson to improve leg speed in middle of the park or another back up half / hooker as currently Jake Arthur is our only half cover with Humphries now becoming more of a hooker.Brown and Waddell will be depth only. I think we will get another forward before the mediocre merry-go-round stops. Possible squad below.

#Assumes Condon and Fulton are moved on, Brown is signed for one year, Lodge is confirmed and Lawton stays.
#Leaves one spot open for a high-profile forward, with the ability to cover middle and back-row if necessary.
No need to re-write history. Far from unknown, he was a very high-profile signing hailed in the press as the next SBW when we got him as a youngster from rugby. We did get Jwh from there as unknown
Not so much got rid of him, we were unable to keep him. We already had front rowers who had just won a grand final and who went onto win another one later, so they were no mugs anyway.but then we got rid of him the moment he started to come good. 🤷♂️
Aside from Mole and Jack, we don't have the pack to match it with the likes of the Broncos, Panthers, Raiders, Souths and any other team for that matter. We have possibly the weakest pack in the comp.It reflects the predicament that Siebold has been trying to manage - too many of our forwards have played like powderpuffs for too long and they need to start pulling their fingers out. What excites me about this is that aside from. Schuster (who hopefully will come good) all of the players signed beyond 2025 are the kinds of players I'd want to see in the squad long term. Less exciting prospects are on shorter contracts.Brown and Waddell will be depth only. I think we will get another forward before the mediocre merry-go-round stops. Possible squad below.
