TESSA James has been through hell and back but hasn’t lost the smile which endeared her to thousands of Home and Away fans.

The former soap star was spotted out on the Gold Coast this week, the first time she has been photographed in public since completing chemotherapy to treat Hodgkin’s lymphoma which she was diagnosed with in September.

Ex Home and away star Tessa James, pictured with her husband Nate Myles, has recently completed her chemotherapy treatment.

Looking happy and fit as she and NRL star husband Nate Myles took a casual walk together, the actor’s hair loss was the only telltale sign of recent battle with illness.


Earlier this month the 23-year-old posted a photo of herself with her family marking the end of her chemotherapy treatment. “Often fear is the same emotion as excitement, it means you are breaking new ground,” she wrote beneath the photo, with the hashtag #newbeginnings.​

Thanks mate, a real tough 18 months for Mick, Bowel Cancer in 13/14 and now Liver Cancer in 14/15

We just hope he's still around in 15/16
