My thought's on tonight.

Can't be too harsh imo. We won that game fairly. I mitigate that comment with the fact I'm completely bias BUT,

X Bronco's first try, I thought at TWO separate occasion's, we'd be sweet, as there was two clear forward passes.

X Bronco's second try. I'm not sure if that farkwit Bulldog Luke Patten dropped his joint into his crotch, and was rubbing his eyes as Jorge Taufua was stripped of the ball, but I personally think it was there for all to see, or am I imagining this crap?

These are momentum decisions. The NRL has once again shown it's unbalanced, unfair approach.

That's just me though.

Team played well otherwise - kind of put the queue in the wrack in that second half though.

Have to say, whoever thought taking a HOME game away from season ticket holders as a cash cow for the club to Suncorp against The Bronco's is an absolute moron though. Sorry.

Well, if we wanna play it that way, we could go back to the Tafua try in the first half off a rather dubious pass lol

C'mon pleaseeeee! Yes, we can argue about some poor officiating but in reality that was not why we lost. If people can't see the poor performance we turned in in that second half while the Donkeys just clicked into their systems then I offer you a walking cane or golden lab.

Taufua was stripped cold. You could see Kahu rip the ball in the first replay. Apart from that moment, Jorge had a great game.

The hit on Tom was legal as the kick had already bounced and both teams were in the contest for the ball after that. I still think that Tom could have got it on the full if he really had made the effort. To be honest, as much as he did great tonight, he put us under the pump a couple of times.

We really should have won it. If sironen holds a pass and we go in at 14-6 we win easily. I was at the ground tonite and knew that 14 was never enough. The up side is we can and will compete with the best this year. We are a top 8 side that is clear. God I pray Turbo is ok though. Let's move on and get ready for the Titans.

Cherry-Evans said in the post match interview that they were "gassed" at half time.

I thought he meant they had no energy left, but after thinking about the second half performance I'm wondering if he meant there was a gas leak in the sheds?

They all DID eat at La Quinta the night before. Lord know's I'd be gassed too 🙂

Donkeys had 80% possession in the second half. No team can compete with such meagre opportunities - particularly when you are playing Brisbane at its home ground.
Also, we again gained no impact from Poo. Bench players are supposed to make a difference. His selection gets smellier by the round.

The NRL has another rules crisis on its hands.
1. Tom Turbo's forward pass was so obvious that it is an embarrassment the video ref can't rule on the bleeding obvious.
2. The rule that you can't tackle a player in the air off a kick was introduced purely to prevent injuries, so it has to be widened to cover when the ball bounces because Tom's injury would not have happened, we would probably have won the match and now Manly and NSW are going to be penalised by not having him available.

Gassed by Barrett's verbal spew

How, as a professional footy team well into a season, can you be buggered by half-time? It's mind-boggling.
We had it all over their forwards and had them on the backfoot then we took off lawrence and tapau, brought on Myles and went backwards. At the same time they brought on Thaiday and Sims, those two ripped through us. 3 early tries is a killer for us. It was a carbon copy of the first Souths game at brookie. Goal kicking in these close games is going to kill us every time. Those kicks in tight games against good opposition are crucial. 18-0 breaks an oppositions spirit but 14-0 after 3 tries gives them a sniff. Not sure how to fix it unless we find a Goal kicking prop or back rower.

We had double repeat sets early in the second half when there is no excuse for being gassed. However, we had already resorted to playing like the disorganised rabble that we have seen often over the previous couple of seasons. We walked away from all that possession with zilch points to show for it (and rightly so for the attacking tripe we dished up). I don't hear any Donkey fans claiming their team was gassed from all that repeated attack.

For all the other garbage to go on about it's amazing that we are well into an NRL season and happy to float by with no reliable goal kicker. It's like last season we were happy to cruise through without a recognised 5/8. We addressed that, but decided our next unique selling point would be to not carry a decent goal kicker. Again, mind-boggling.

The refs impact for Broncos is very subtle, they allow Broncs to get arms and hands all around the ball in tackles forcing errors like Tafuas, Beau Scott does a lot of this tactic for Parra. They were also repeatedly offside and in our face just as we were catching the ball and that is very hard to get momentum from. I don't think the refs cost us the game but you can see how they can very subtly massage the flow of the game to suit certain teams and they do it for Storm and Broncos repeatedly

Is that a possessive apostrophe in your thread title or one indicating abbreviation?
Is your thought sometimes off?
