WOW. There's a lot to do for the 2024 season.
 
It's not so easy to follow the shape of our squad. Sykes now appears on the club site as the 10th (yes 10th!) prop although Sione Fainu is also still showing even though we know he's gone to the Tigers.
Meanwhile there is no trace of poor Barney Rubble among our supposed 10 (or 9) NRL props yet he is named in the 17 this week.

Maybe it is 11,scroll past Des' profile and Viliami Fifita is there too.
I think he is actually the fourth Dev contracted player but most sites don't recognise it.
As there are 5 props injured and Sione playing for Tigers maybe we need more dammit?
 
What is actually hilarious and shows how much thought and effort goes into some of the club websites efforts is in the KOE profiles.
Willie Swann is a prop who is originally from the Dragons but was picked up from the Roosters Flegg side from 2021(actually a good prospect).
The site however has uploaded the Willie Swann profile who played halfback for the Warriors many years ago and is listed as aged 48,it has been there for almost 2 months and whoever put it there has NFI.
Well done Sea Eagles.....

@The Wheel if the club ever asks you for some fan feedback you may wish to raise this stuff it's slightly embarrassing methinks
 
We are supposed to have 29 of the top 30 squad locked in by now (unless they have changed deadline rules because of Covid). We've got 27 from what I can see - so not sure if that means De Luis and Roumanos are the 28th and 29th ??

There's never been a lot of transparency around this process from the NRL's point of view. If they bring in these rules they should make it easy for fans to see compliant squad lists for all teams.

Are you talking the team list on the Sea Eagles site where it has all the players photos ?? That's not an official top 30. There's 33 names there for a start. I don't think you will find an officially publicised Top 30 list for any team. It's all smoke and mirrors. I don't know how hard it is for the NRL to make every team name their squads once the June 30 deadline passes

Yeah I just went from the photos! Talk about keeping fans in the dark.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see if anything is revealed at 30 June. Although some of these guys are already getting named in extended game day squads anyway so maybe it just doesn't matter any more.
 
The official website game report stated that the side was bolstered by NRL squad members De Luis,Fulton,Sykes,Humphreys.
It does not reference whether top 30 or development,but they are part of the squad,as to Roumanos(did not play last night) or Fifita they were not mentioned.

August 1st was the deadline to finalise top 30 squad for this season. According to NRL.com link below is our top "30". There's only 28 names there ? maybe Taufua and Sione Fainu are included as they were in squad originally until released.
