Guys like Cornich would probably only serve as a stop gap measure and hardly an upgrade on Croker . The club is also probably keeping an eye on filling those available top 30 positions from with in and with Sulli and maybe Anderson coming into the equation now and who knows maybe still Albert Kelly . Matt Wright definitely could handle 5 / 8 if there continues to be issues with Croker but again would only be a stop gap measure . Think you were a bit harsh on Tom T . Joe , not one of his better efforts and he is on a big pay grade now but still did some good things and don 't think that he was 100 per cent injury free wise for a good part of the match . But if it gets to the stage of considering dropping Tom , [ and i am sure it would never come to that ] , gee we would be in dire straits . [ along with some of their theme music ]

No worries Al,I called it as I saw the game...Cornish is more than a stop gap in my mind and if Hastings is gone or contributing no more then we do need someone.Maybe they have Kelly in mind, but it takes 2 to tango and if clubs aren't prepared to release players then we are hamstrung by that.No idea who they would like to promote but we do need a half soon.... stopgaps are OK,but no one really thought Croker would be our 5/8 option in December...so your stopgap might be someones starter(one mans trash....)Doubt I would drop Tom,but centre is an option.

Certainly concede that Tom and quite a few others can naturally do better , just seems to be a concentration issue and the younger brigade are no longer rookies now but at least they still all have the ability to pick up their games. Maybe there is someone out there who can help in the half "s department but too many more set backs and the season would have slipped away but here is hoping that the side collectively can turn things around fairly promptly .

I hope things turn around soon too Al,and whilst I get that some people out there have their agendas,(don't like the coach, still hurt after how Toovey was treated, still love Des,hate the Penns etc.....)I just don't get the glee that some people on here seem to experience when the side is struggling. It seems that some people love certain individuals more than the club and don't seem to realise that things are being done differently now than in the 1970s' -1990s' and that there is no backtracking, change is constant....

Good post Joe and certainly each to their own and within reason and helpful perspective to express an opinion and always ideally for the common cause of support for the Sea Eagles .

Sure........Exactly Noone?Don't take this the wrong way,but you have your view and I have mine, neither is going to change the others mind.If I argue with you about it then I have to argue with every other person on the 30-40 other threads where everyone is saying that Barrett is **** and should be sacked, that our recruitment is **** and everyone should be sacked. Not to mention how all our players are **** and should all be sacked and that no one(Noone?)gets the Manly culture or bleeds maroon and white. There are not enough fxxks in life to give to everyone who disagrees with you....

correct, your view is yours and mine is mine.
although your posts are hypocritical having a slight dig when I said No-one was organising and yet you ask for Cornish or Frawley to play an organising role..
Now I know your taking the piss.
As you don't have enough time to respond to all the F@#% as you put it, Im assuming you have alot you disagree with.
Fact is right now, we have a Team of precious individuals who refuse to play with A player with an ego.
Maybe this team should concentrate on,Positional play like our fullback needs to, catching like our wingers need to, running hard like our front rowers need to and most importantly creativity, like our Halves are supposed to.
Some of our players are playing well below their contract value and as a member and life long supporter deserve to see a lot more than what we have been dished up the last few years. If the team was having a dig, and we had no potential the fine..But we don't. We have enough to be more than competitive, week in and week out.
Fact is, we have been wiped off the park by 3 teams that are not predicted or probably won't make the 8.
We still have Broncos,Storm,Roosters and Penrith twice plus Cowboys, Dragons, bulldogs to come.
Time we showed some accountability and find ways to win, rather than whinge.
Feel free to get your Buddy's to Dummyspit as much as you like.. its only a moronic effort to do so.

no dummy spit from me but I see both your points of view and agree with some of both posts .... its ok to disagree

we all want to see us return to winning

People hate change, believe me as an employer for almost 40 years ( retired now) every time things changed in my business well didn’t my staff complain!!

Ever since the season began I said I preferred Hastings as I said he is an organizer,so not sure how that is being hypocritical,I have always said in previous posts that I didn't think Croker complemented DCE.If you had actually read my post you would see that I was specifically talking about last weeks game(not all games this year)in regards to the efforts from the halves.Do you know Hastings or have you seen the release from Barrett and the issues with Hastings?Maybe not so precious when you are trying to achieve team harmony?I don't have buddies on here who dummyspit for me,if a few people agree with me then that is their choice,I don't feel the need to get people to agree with me,which is why I posted this thread knowing many would disagree...Not sure how suggesting that things are not so grim is whinging(it is sort of the opposite if you stop and think about it).Call me a moron if you like,I won't go to that level, people have called me worse in life and I still get up the next day.Feel free to think that you are right and I am wrong,it is a free country and website.....

It just dawned on me that this was supposed to be our easy half of the season. With the salary cap deduction, Myles still on the books and the Hastings fiasco plus 2 season ending injuries.... It's gonna be a tough ask getting a decent 30 together by June and pushing for the finals.

Either way we'll get to see the likes of Kelly, jetski, Paeska, Parker and Croker develop and we should have a strong squad going into 2019 with some recruitment to come. The spines locked in and the coach, so it's not a huge mountain to climb. Here's hoping we get our ducks in a row by June!
