The news was far better for Manly hooker Michael Monaghan, the former Sea Eagles captain cleared of a broken hand after scans today.

"It's a bit of a relief, a broken hand is usually four to six weeks, so to have him right for this Sunday against the Wests Tigers is good news for us," Sea Eagles coach Des Hasler said.

Didn't realise Wheel beat me to the punch with his article on the front page. Well done, Wheel.
