Merry Christmas & Happy New Year my Feathered Friends

Thanks everyone for your best wishes , I didn’t actually want to dumb down the Xmas spirit in this thread but many people on here either have met Mick ( when I was doing MWTS tours) or contributed two years ago to a Go Fund Me fundraiser which saw over $20k raised enabling the family to to a 4WD trip to Cape York and a South Pacific Cruise AND I thought you would all want to know where he’s at.

Currently ( and where this is being posted from) he’s in Palliative Care at Tamworth Hospital.

We are hoping he’ll get back home to Moree for what will be his last Xmas with his family.

Thanks again everyone!!

You should communicate more Mark, My wife has been in Tamworth last 3 days working with her job, she actually invited me to come (that would have pissed off her boyfriend up there), I should have come up and bought you a keg or two!

I hope you have a great Xmas, we sadly are in the final throes of our son in law’s life, he’s in palliative care now and it’s just a matter of when, not if now.

But regardless we are going to make the best of it!!

The Hams bought , the beers are getting cold and bring on Santa!
**** mate that is awful, have lived through such times - strength to you and your family

Sorry to hear about your son in law Mark it's a testing time for all your family. I'm sure all of us here at ST wish you and your Family the best.

To Everyone have a great Christmas and a ripper of a New Year and remember It's not what happens to you in life it's how you deal with it.

Go you Mighty Eagles let's show them all what we're made of 2018

I would like to share a great big Christmas feast with all Silvertails, the centrepiece of which, would be a giant silver platter and when the waiter took the lid off in the middle of it was the baked head of greenturd, glazed with a big apple in its mouth.
Then I'd put it in the incinerator, it's done enough damage already.

Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas Silvertails , have a good one and safe one .
Well said Brad and i am sure the shared thoughts and feelings of all Silver Tails and every one associated with the forum . Of course special thoughts for Mark from Brisbane and his family and for his son in law and his family . .

Seasons greetings to all Silvertail posters (except the numbnuts) and their families.

To those I have sparred with, fought with, discussed, debated, laughed with and been amused and informed by I sincerely wish you a happy and safe Xmas.

Come back firing in the new year, because I believe we "live in interesting times"

Please be on the lookout for this fugitive......

OK, all jokes aside....Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Christmas and new years and that we're all back here in 2018 cheering on the mighty Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles :christmastree:

I remember working on a garbage truck (this is before they got all high tech). They used to have three blokes working then, the driver and two runners. Christmas Eve was the best time to work. I was sharing a place with one of the other blokes, we ended up with two bathtubs full of alcohol that people gave us, we'd only take stubbies or cans, people would come out and offer us glasses too.
