Well done to Larry Tate on answering some of Canteen's tough questions.

This one isn't trivia but for the old die-hards there was a great quote from Adam Lucius in the Manly Daily on Tuesday.

"There used to be three certainties at Brookvale Oval.

Aboriginal Steve dissecting the goal posts in his half-time boomerang show; Charlie the peanut selling flogging his wares from an old bookie's bag and Manly winning regularly."

Ahh, great memories - although getting a smile out of Charlie was pretty hard.

Old Charlie used to travel a bit. I saw him at Leichhardt,Redfern,SCG,the old sports ground,North Sydney. And always in the same flanno,daggy trousers and old desert boots!
