Thomo loved the right foot no look jink back against the grain of the defence, then used to pin his ears back and deliver the ball right on Wombat's chest. Too true, threw a great long ball and very solid defender

I think the pirouette was more about a dizzy spell, then collapse over the line from sheer exhaustion from Max lol

I was interested in his comments about the early s.o.o matches. Supporting nsw it was good to get some sort of confirmation that the nsw didn't really care nor did they get the same opportunities to train/rest before the matches.

Doesn't explain the last 10 years or so but still....

A big F.U to all those Qld 'mates' that hung it on me in the early years!

It was also sobering to hear the absolute lack of player welfare by the governing body and Clubs.😎

Manly played 6 games in 21 days of finals, then 5 days later half if them are on a Kangaroo Tour 😱

This explains their arthritic bodies and chronic painfor life 🙁

Heads up, both Max & Tommy are doing a road show at a pub in Newtown (my son is the Chef there) to talk about "THAT GAME" between Manly & Newtown. When I find out the date I let you guys know. Reckon it will be a hoot.

BTW had the pleasure to play golf with Max. Crickie he hits his 2 iron further than most pros on the circuit when they use their 1 wood.

I'll have a status update tonight. My son is the chef at the venue, he's got a few days off and coming to visit us family in Newcastle.

Whenever I watch the 76 GF, there is a fraca between Max and Dennis Fitzgerald. 40 years have passed but i still get up and cheer Max on in the punch up.
