Reading in the SMH that Matt Cross will be pushing to be fit for the begining of next season. Should be a good buy but a knee injury could be a problem all season.

Some reports mention a broken leg, others are talking about cruciate problems. Either way, a long hard rehabilitation but he will recover.

then potentially one or two NYC players able to step up,

why waste time and/or energy + money re-habbilitating a 29 year old toiler who has struggled to remain in 1st grade throughout his whole career?

Can't argue with that, it will come down to the contract. I assume there is some medical fitness condition in player contracts these days, but that is a guess. I know there was talk of Bani needing to pass a medical before the cows would take him.

We wasted our time and money on getting George Rose right as well, am bloody glad we did

And Mark Bryant as well as he was a reserve grader with little chance of making firsts at canberra.

Bryant was a reserve grader playing first grade for most of his time with us as well.
