After the Penrith debacle, I decided not to watch any live games till Turbo returns. I no longer have expectations for the team this year - any win is a bonus. For the moment, I've lost faith in Des after several myopic team selections in the last couple of years. It seems every team now has Manly worked out - force an early error, score an early try by kicking to Jorge's wing, after which the Sea Eagles never gain composure. At this point in time, Miski would be a better option than Jorge - similar style of player, but more pace - don't think he made significant errors in his three games last year & deserves another opportunity.

Anyway, on to the title of this post. I think we may have more Tongan players in our squad than any other club. Thus, in in 2021, if all players are fit, I would like to see this Mate Ma'a (Die For) Manly Sea Eagles team on the field in 2021. Some may question why T-Rex and why no Keppie or Taupau? In answer, I would suggest this team has more attacking potency than any team selected so far this year. If Staggs (another Tongan) could be added, better still!

  1. Turbo
  2. Hoppa
  3. Walker
  4. Funa
  5. Suli
  6. Cust
  7. DCE
  8. AFB
  9. Fainu
  10. Jake
  11. Haumole
  12. Sironen
  13. Schuster
  14. Levi
  15. T-Rex
  16. Sipley
  17. Paseka

Random question: Could Jake's skills be better utilized on an edge rather than the middle? Does he have sufficient ability & pace to be a Wade Graham type back rower?

Schuster could potentially have the skills to be a wade graham type player, Jake is better in the middle when not used as a battering ram that is

Id like to see jake in the fowards and afB play lock in a JT type roll playing similar minutes. Im sick of jake getting in the way. Time to cart it straight forward and pop offloads when the time is right. Jake can also play big minutes as prop like RCG or payne haas

More Tongans?
Na. Too many Nuku'alofas among them!

Well thats an interesting point. I do know they way he is being used, and is playing, Id suggest he
isn't worth anywhere near the money he is on.

This guy is an elite class player, but is being used as a battering ram and a tackling machine.

I think many of our problems come from our 9. Levi tries hard but isnt up to it, we should of chased Isaac Luke or god forbid Robbie Farah.

Mmm ... translates as 'abode of love' - is that what you mean?
No, it was what I thought was a clever play on words. Obviously not. So I'll explain it.
Nuku'alofa is the capital of Tonga. And I don't want any more loafas in our team.....
T-Rex is the perfect example.
