Matai won't sign for Manly

In other news, Steve Matai's manager told Radio Sport that the offer from the Warriors has been taken off the table, and Manly has offered a new contract. Orr expects Matai to put pen to paper in coming days, however sources inside the club think this may not be possible.

It is understood that after an unsuccessful search for ballpens within the club, a bag full of ballpens was found outside the club last week, however the ink in them became frozen rendering it useless. The club are in deep negotiations with Parker Brothers to become a contract sponsor so that all player contracts can be signed before the start of the 2011 NRL season. The Parker pen will also be used to sign the Parker sponsoship contract.
