Matai may not play for Manly again

The great man deserves his $$$ in full be it through insurance or the club.
As much as I love the bloke I'd hate to see him play and inflict further detriment to his long term well being.
I hope whatever his decision is, is based on his health.

Skivvy this says you can't have contact drills for 6 months!!! That's March before you can tackle a bag or be tackled. No pre season for 2017. As a footballer that's a bit rough. That's going to make it what February or March next year before you can make a call with the doctors on if your able to play. And worst of all you risks permanent injury if something happens and this neck metal plate wasn't a success. Skivvy champion your 33 next year and you have achieved everything in the game. This just isn't worth the risk for another 12 months of footy. It's not even worth it if this team was a premiership chance, and we aren't. Those boots of yours have worked hard, they must be worn out and need a rest. So can ya help out with some coaching down Blacktown way a little bit. It's time to start thinking about life after footy.

I hope that if Steve is forced into retirement that he gets the send-off he deserves just like Jamie has. The club owes this to him.
