Matabele Awards postponed

Due to an unforseen emergency I haven't been able to get my hand to the 2005 Matabele Awards.

They will no be posted sometime during the next week so you can all spend your work days dissecting their merits.

I am very comfortable in making this announcement as Manly fans have become very used to much promise and very little delivery.

Due to an unforseen emergency the 2005 Matabele Awards will not be posted tonight.

Matabele informed Silvertails management of his decision today, issuing a brief statement in a media release:

"I have decided that the Matabele Awards this year should reflect and emulate the club we love and their performance in recent years. Accordingly I have decided that I should promise the world and deliver little."

"Moving into a new year, and hopefully a new era, all I will say is that they will be issued sometime in 2006. However, like a Manly premiership, it WILL happen!"

It is expected that the awards will be posted with much fanfare sometime in the next week.
