Manly vs Parra Rd 7 Pre Game Thread

But that requires TB to actually train and get Crocker to kick the ball. We cannot get repeat sets with DCE the only kicker. You would think a coach would understand that.

Tried to get my Kelpie to piss up against a tree only to find out she was a bitch.

Possibly a spoiler alert coming up. By my estimation, we can't finish the round lower than 3rd last, unless we get belted and the Girls have a blinder...

I'm hoping that our fans with their booing has really put a rocket up this team and they start playing to their capabilities.
And if that isn't the case this week, we are completely stuffed.

I fear with everything else it’s the latter!!

I can see a world of pain coming before maybe they band together in a more united way.

It could be a very rough next month I think , but of course hope this isn’t the case!!

Could be a very painful month indeed if we don't beat the Eels, next 4 games

Knights (H)
Roosters (A)
Broncos (A)
Storm (A)

This Sunday's game is shaping up to be crucial in defining our mindset for the next month. If we let a team who we flogged 4 weeks ago and are currently 0 and 6 beat us then that's not great for us looking forward.

Given the long term injuries, Hastings situation and lack of depth there are no reinforcements on the horizon - the current 17 are it for a while so they need to deliver.

This game is down to what attitude the team shows, we have seen what this team is capable of and the 2nd round destruction of this weeks opponent is a reminder of that, I want to see Manly get back to basics, cutting out the errors with the ball which just gets compounded by endless penalties conceded. Discipline is the key, something that has gone out the window of late. This is a chance at redemption and further piling on the misery of our greatest foe!!

I see the eels game as a must win (don't care if it is by 1 point). Our immediate future looks bleak if we cannot beat Para.

Which was my point above and I just can’t see how the team could be in the right mental state this week.

But I’m very happy if I’m proven wrong!!

So is it Hastings fault if we lose this week too?

Something is rotten at the club and i think Barrett has no control of them.

Look back to last time we played the Eels. Only a month ago, we had Uate making tackle after tackle on the sideline and dominating his side...we had the Turbo bros scything through the middle with Daly in support every time...our attitude was absolutely spot-on. Desperate in defence, positive and aggressive in attack. We have it in us, we are well-trained, we can do it again.

I'd give myself an "optimistic" if I could, but there's always hope.

Very quick off the mark, Eagle1188...

The way the planets are aligning, hard to see us winning this week. Parra intent on winning for the Dalai, our camp in turmoil, revenge for the 50 point flogging etc. And I can see another ref stitch up on the way - its only Manly right, so why not.

Tend to agree with you, this game has memories of 2012, the Slime lost their first four matches, and their first win was against us, they then proceeded to lost their next six games.
I have a bad feeling about this game, hope I'm wrong.
