Manly vs Dragons MNF

From Manly Daily

Galuvao’s sacrifice was demonstrated after the battle as he sat on the floor in the dressing room with his injured hand immersed in an ice bucket.

But results of scans on Tuesday cleared him of a broken hand, meaning he should be fit for Monday’s blockbuster against the Dragons.

It was some rare good news for the Eagles forward pack as the injury toll mounts.

“My hand is still a bit tender but it is not too bad,” Galuvao said.

so dragons at fullstrength minus Cooper?

ahh Creagh and Scott too. Hmm id rather them at full strength

They're expecting Hornby and Creagh to play. Plus Brett Morris is due back this week.

Still majorly peed off this is on a monday night. Does anyone have any idea how long itll roughly take to get there from the st george area on a monday arvo?? cheers

A Monday night game because Manly played last Monday and so can't play on Friday. Means Nine's first two choices (Friday) can't include this game so Fox gets first shot at it as the 3rd choice game.

Fox out-thought nine with their selections for the previous week. Nine would have had to select both the Dragons and Manly games as Friday night games last week to stop Fox pulling this off. They only picked the Dragons game.

So if Fox wanted to get every Manly game, all they would need to do is wait for 9 not to select us once, then choose Manly for every subsequent Monday night!

Hard to disagree that it would have drawn 40,000 to the SFS on a Sunday afternoon but 39,850 would be Dragons fans as Manly fans simply don't dare to leave the peninsula. Wouldn't it be good to see that peninsula break off and drift down to Antarctica or better still the Bermuda Triangle.

Don't you love the way Sydney ppl love us!

Is there a more depressing part of the world than the St George area? It is heavily concreted, flat, hot, full of awful little boxy brick houses which have had all their character removed by the addition of aluminium windows and cement render, gridlocked with traffic, characterised by sad little runs of shops with hand painted signs run by scowling families..

Don't forget the haircuts either, one of the most underrated aspects of visiting that part of the world.

Mullets Ahoy!
