It really was a cake walk tonight.

Manly scored at will, ran so many metres, made so many breaks.

I think the days of worrying and stressing about who plays fullback in future are put to rest. Koula is a gun, blinding speed, great anticipation and also creating opportunities. We are weak at 3 and 4 and I hope that Tommy plays there cause he will add so much to our defence out wide and cause havoc and draw in defenders giving the speed outside and inside of him so many chances.

The team finishes will 11 and a half wins, that is an improvement on last year and most pleasing is that they did this with up to half our first team out injured, some of them long term.

It is nice to finish the year on a positive note, congratulations to Jake for 200 games and great to see him score tonight.

The team has shown over the last month its capability and capacity to deal with adversity, stretching Penrith and the Warriors and towelling the dogs and tigers. The coach deserves praise for finally making some tough decisions. Jake Arthur was right up there with our best tonight. Very encouraging to see.

This season has been a rollercoaster for many of us. Bring on 2024!!

Better end to the season than last year. Really happy for Jake to get the win and sing the team song, one more time for the year.
The last couple of weeks have given us a glimpse at what might have been, if we’d played Koula or in the #1 a bit earlier. Also Gordie who adds plenty of speed around the ruck.
Plenty to look forward to next year with Tom back from injury and Brooksy in the #6. Hopefully we can get Schuy in the right frame of mind (and body) as well.
