It'll be a tough one to win alright, just think the home crowd might sneak us home. Pity it's not an 8pm game, the 6pm game wont be a full house but then again I could be wrong..
They better b###dy win, I'm taking the day off work driving over 300km over 3hrs with me kids to watch the game. Staying in an airbnb in bulldogs territory then bus to the train station to Circular quay then ferry to Manly then bus to the ground and all that again to get home. If they don't win this one me kids won't be coming back here again and my membership is done.

So there will be an extra 3 mad Eagles in the crowd yelling their heads off trying to sneak us home. If you hear a guy screaming his head off with a couple of 4pines in his hand wearing a sign Pepsi jersey with number5 on it that'll be me.

I hope it's not going to be a scream but instead a smile ;-)) and the drive home will be worth it.

Lodge and Taukeiaho are capable of big games. We desperately need them to step up for the remainder of the season or we are absolutely finished. Unfortunately we have blown our chance to make the top 4, and with that any serious chance at winning the premiership, but our pack is capable of jagging us the bottom half of the 8 if they step up.

Seems a consensus that this could be Manly's worst pack in (10, 20, 50) years.
So..
if Manly shocks everyone and actually wins (!!!)... I wonder who who will get the credit?
My prediction -
No-one! it will be because Tigers are crap!
I’d say it’s a mark of how dire our recent form has been that anyone would consider a win over the tigers at home as anything other than a bare pass mark, and hardly worthy of “credit”. A more relevant question may be if our recent form continues and we lose a game we should win, who will get the blame (apart from the person we cannot name).

If panther lose to dog, bronc to warr, shark away to storm, rab beat dolp at home and we smash the tig we could be in 6th, if we just win we'll be in 7th, rooster get their last bye so will be in 5th so fingers cross. Tough games for teams ahead of us fighting for the bottom4 spots. We got the easiest of one the lot which is a bad sign I guess, so C'MON MANLY salvage the season starting with the tigers. I'll be happy with the bottom4, out first round is better than the spoon.

Benji will do exactly what Des did to us. He will get them throwing the ball around from the get go and Lodge will be gassed in 10 mins. How does he go from not in the 17 to starting prop??? And yep, the whole Jazz/Jake thing is very frustrating.

I want to say if we can just hold our own we can still win but as @susan noted, when compared to what is needed these days, this has got to be one of the slowest immobile forward packs in the comp.

I think we'll know early if we're any chance.

If what is being said has any truth to it, that Seibold has 2 weeks to turn things around ... I get the feeling a bit of panic might be setting in.

Is it wrong to be cheering for the Tigers and Souths in the next two weeks, just to get closer to a Seibold exit?Given how close the comp is,losses in those 2 games, may not spell the end of the season and a fresh, less gruff voice in the dressing rooms could make a difference

As I said above, I feel for Jazz because this really isn't what he signed for.

FMD, one of our assistant coaches is Mick Ennis, himself a decorated dummy half and the one that Fox League is pushing to replace Seibold. You'd think at least he would know that makeshift dummy halves don't work.....
For all we know he might be telling seibold but falling on deaf ears.
But blind Freddy can see Jazz at 13, Jake to Prop rotation and Simpkins starting would have been a better option.

The bottom teams always lift against us as they can smell blood in the water, and that enthusiasm will show on Friday night.

But if our team has any interest left in winning a game it’s obviously one of the ones they “ should win “.

Dunno but I reckon enthusiasm v disinterest wins every day.

Remember that game last year at Leichart Oval, we were red hot favourites and were murdered.

We are Favourites on Friday ( how or why I have no idea ), the writing is on the wall.

This game is the last shot to keep our season alive imo.

Its on life support as it is and will remain so with a win.

Had we won vs Eels and Titans, the worst two teams in the comp, we would have been on 20 points and sitting 5th going into this match.

But as they say in the classics "if my aunty had balls she'd be my uncle".

Have a nice trip EDTD, bit like myself when I come down to Brookie from Bris. It's all the forms of transport, car, plane, train, ferry then bus.

Nothing bar Paseka, Aloiai and Haumole will change this awful pack. Not even Navale unfortunately.

I don't think we get the spoon, but we'll get awfully close. This pack is downright terrible. The only hope I have, is that Lodge is slightly fitter. That is probably the only thing that can save it.

Whatever changes can, or will be made, are basically for nothing. Our long term problems in roster are completely and absolutely rearing their heads.
Lodge is a slow fat cxnt. The last time he played he looked like the fxcken Michelin man.

Spare Me with the Excuses feathered friend
You are trying to Milk this forum again with your Excuses
Its time for you to post another Meme of Milking Cows

I have been watching the Tigers and I agree a few losses have been unlucky due to their ill discipline plays
The other loses where due to their defensive lapses that lead to their capitulation loses and giving away winnable leads,
Benjie has had a good run with injuries and a well recruited team with premiership winning leaders and up and coming stars
No Excuses for Benjie

Our forward pack has 8 regular and mostly starting players
Players that were handpicked by Seibold
No Excuses for Seibold
Jurbo
Burbo
Bullermore
Taukeiko
Tevaga
Simpkin
Brown
Siply
All playing against the Tigers
I am in no way making excuses. I am stating a fact. That forward pack is just plain shxt. It is embarrassingly bad.

Yes in every sense of the word.

As I said to some numbnuts a couple of weeks ago on X ... being the only pre-1982 expansion club not to get the wooden spoon is a sense of pride for Manly and its fans.

The First Grade spoon has never made its way to Manly, and we don't want it to start now. Losing to the Tigers and Souths would go a LONG way to making the spoon a possibility.....
