That "s interesting , so essentially Taukeiaho and most likely Sipley in for Paseka and Alioia
Koula and Faulalo in for Talau and Ray Ray .
Jazz in for the Lawman , Simpkin for Gordy .
Storm a bit off their game in the early stages last season.
Presume the Storm are the favorites with the bookies but still rate Manly a fair chance
I’m at a loss why everyone thinks the Storm are invincible? Look at the teams player for player & I don’t see in what way they’re so much better than our boys? I just cannot see it. Would like to know player for player what everyone’s thoughts are. Storm missing Hughes & Meaney. Manly missing Trbo, Paseka, Talau, Croker

It feels like an uneasy ceasefire at the moment. Likely to explode again at any moment with DCE the media maestro trying to control the narrative that he's the shining knight in all this.
Its coming, you just know it is.

For ****s sake, he’s leaving , he’s got that out , just shut up and announce it at the end of the season.

After Storm losing to Illawarra gunna be even tougher.....I think a massive part will be how TKO and Brown stand up that 1st 20 minutes and in fact, can see 1 maybe drop to the bench.
Manly will have to play a game style than the usual auto wide spreads, as will need to hang in the "field position" battle as Melbourne are not a side you beat with flashy plays, so will need to match the grind and not convinced Manly have the middles to do this...I think Grant will be a nightmare Sunday arvo.
The home ground will 100% help plenty and in a way, this is a real test that could set up a very successful season, or show we are still a way off.
Big Hamole needs to play out his skin and the input from the outside backs and Hoppa getting us out of trouble is a MUST.
Sundays arvo Brookie - miracles do happen 🙌🔥

Good omen. Found this wonderful SMH newspaper pic from Rd 3 in 2005 while clearing out old stuff yesterday. Surprised it hasn't seemingly been used again anywhere since 2005. Is the game-winning try in Manly's 25-18 victory over Storm. Looking back it is arguably THE moment Manly's 2005 to 2014 golden era began.

We are being screwed. Sharks get 9 day turnaround before they play us in Perth next Saturday.
We get a 6 day turnaround after the Storm game to travel/prep, then just 5 days to travel back to Sydney to play the Dragons on Thursday night.
Makes this game against the storm even more important. Sharks will be desperate for a win and we all know we wont beat our bogey team the dragons. Have to make these early home games count.
