I was really proud of that effort last week. It was looking really troubling early on and we won the grind but just ran out of time.

This game hinges a lot on young Hopoate and how he goes. Koula is a huge out for us so I hope that Hopoate has an electric game.

Vaega was strong last week. Some real good carries. He is getting better.

Talau was impressive last week as well.

With Saab back we might bag an extra couple of tries out there tonight.

And good to have Brown on the bench.

So there really is a lot to like about this squad. If Hopoate remains composed and has a good game I reckon we should outscore Melbourne tonight.

A win here keeps us in touch with the 8 at least. No more injuries pls

Manly 28 Melbourne 18

Mate, did you hear what Cronk (who's knowledge and intelligence in the game is second to none) said - we lacked enthusiasm, intensity and effort? How are you watching such a different team to him? Is it that our standards as a fanbase is currently now like the team? Mid.

I get the need to be positive, but jesus. We are in a huge slump, and a team last week that had a debutante, a player with 2 games in first grade, and then another guy called Smoothy beat us.

But you're proud of the performance?

I think that game showed some improvement in a couple of areas that need more improvement, but not letting the 12 nil scoreline get away at suncorp with 12 men is pretty new territory

In fact we should probably have won the game but lacked polish in the game moments, but still we were there for them. We get close in games with 34 - 28 scorelines but rarely a low scoring game

Cronk was right, we started off the pace but we dont have that scoreline without appropriate energy and effort. Garricks kick, no challenge, the game was there. We shot ourselves in the foot somewhat. We should have won, and in a canter it seems

Yeah I dunno. We were coming out on top in that game. Time ran out. We kept them to one point in the final 67 minutes. If the clock went for another 5 minutes we would have won
Like your positivity, but we should have won this game, lots of dumb plays by us.1 Garricks stupid kick ahead when he should of passed. 2 DCE not taking a Capt challenge on a blatant ball strip on Paseka and 3 Paulo's head high with only 5min to go, this resulted in a field goal and a win to them, showing no game awareness whatsoever.

can’t wait till we lose again and all the woke gronks say “oh i’m so proud of the boys tonight”

losing is nothing ever to be proud of!!
