Dce is done at least Foran tried and looked like he had a clue. Not saying he was great but he is not the issue. Croker offers 0 in attack walker 0 dce 0.

Foran needed to stop holding himself back and inject himself way more. Otherwise DCE thinks he's gotta do everything by himself in attack and starts running sideways like a headless chook and just makes dumb mistakes. Forwards did well, not one one of them had below a 6/10 performance. Although with that said expected our halves to take advantage and create on the back of that. But our attack is so disorganised and scrappy, both our tries were from our middles, we had no chance of scoring from the outside. Combinations and attacking threats need to be worked on immensely. Having Walker go back to the only position he can play, centre, would be a start. Coz idk if u guys realise, bloke cannot play fullback or five eight. Last time he a had a full season of centre under his name, he won dally m centre of the year, just saying. It would be nice having him run off Foz and Tom (when he's back), finally can have some speed and mobility in our centres. As for our back rower dilemma, I guess all we can do is stick with schu and jetski and hopefully promote saddler so we can have him on the bench. Crocker Cust rotation might have to stay coz we don't have any other viable options for utility. Honestly if we don't win next week, we just gotta wait and hope for a fit Tommy Turbo coz there's no other choice.

It's just the only thing that fixes the whole lot. Walker will be moved back to centre. Our play the ball and attack will be faster coz we always have a hungry Tom in and around the ruck trying to make scoots and run off offloads. It will also give an actual attacking threat to us that DCE and Foz can work on and it makes DCE not overplay his hand trying to do too much in attack. And it gives that morale boost for Jake and he will start playing better again, I guarantee it. Overall we a squad that is way too reliant on Tom Trbojevic LMAOOOO.

Q: Would we have won today if Turbo was playing?
A: Quite possibly. I think Turbo would have averted the Souths 40-20 just before half time which preceded their third try. Lots of mistakes in the game and neither team played that well. However, I think the infusion of Turbo's class would have made a difference today (as Latrell's did for Souths)

Also, what about the carry on re Latrell's professional foul by the Fox commentators? It was quite blatant, esp. compared with Jake's sin binning in the finals game v. Souths in 2019.

Hard to know. I suspect south’s turn up a lot more switched on if Turbot plays. You can understand after last week how they may have taken it a bit easy.
That’s a great comparison with Jakes binning and all the commentators wanted to defend the ref on that occasion.

Croker is no value at 9, (maybe 14, or Foz at 14) DCE can play the 80 at 9 and play what he see’s as every team in NRL knows his basically our only attacking options at present and they know that they can either swat or put him under extreme pressure at first receiver every time. At 9 DCE can and would run out of dummy half when the opportunity presents, be has a better pass to speed up the service, can and will draw the defence in, hold them up and keep them guessing a little more.
we have a halfback, cust who could not play any worse than DCE, his energy is good and I firmly believe he would do a better job at present, more X factor to stop the opposition reading our game, shoe into 6 as Foz is gone, just to slow for the speed of the game ( our 6&7 played together 10 years ago, no wonder they can’t keep up with the pace of today’s game). Sad for Foz as he can play, injuries aside, if he still had some game left in his legs, 9 would also have been an option for him, but sadly the body can’t keep up and the leg speed is gone. Time to give the next generation their go and we can only work with what we have, what we can’t keep doing is more Of the same. DCE won’t be left out of the team and won’t lose his captaincy as there aren’t many options, although I think removing the c from his name could only help his game and the team at the moment. I don’t see how $1.3m aside he can be an automatic selection @ 7 week in week out when his game is off the money, reputation aside there is not another club in the competition that wouldn’t address his form and it’s not just the last 2 games. Why not try the following it has to be better than serving up the same rubbish that even the Dragons based on our form and theirs yesterday will have a field day against next weekend.

walker is not a 1, he has to go back into the centres, we have wasted his services throughout his time with us, if he was used as a centre we probably would have had good service from him, his not a 5/8 although better there than at 1, his certainly not a FB. I’m not convinced Harper is a 1 either, but may be a better option based on getting Dylan back into the centres.
Garrick has to go, id be happy for him to find a new club, but at least he needs some time in the reggies to rebuild his confidence, refined some form and work on his game, if your wingers can’t defend, cant find some meters off kick returns and can’t come in and take a dummy half run that helps your pack out and finds a few meters, then they are not of much value to the team, surely someone else can kick, because he has even gone wobbly on that in recent times.
5 Harper or Tup’s (thats what we bought him for)
3/4 Dylan and Moses (Moses needs to improve his hunger to get involved)

1? Is a huge problem, Harper because there’s no one else and walker will be of more value in the centre’s.

Happier times - highlights of 2019 Sea Eagles v Souths semifinal. As in yesterday's match, there were professional fouls & a brawl. We played very well despite having a depleted side with no Turbo, Thommo or Siro. All our gun players had an impact, including DCE.

Happier times - highlights of 2019 Sea Eagles v Souths semifinal. As in yesterday's match, there were professional fouls & a brawl. We played very well despite having a depleted side with no Turbo, Thommo or Siro. All our gun players had an impact, including DCE.

I commented on this game the other day, I just watched the highlights you posted, we should Of won that game and had a red hot chance at the raiders the week after, perhaps even went all the way, Garrick‘s defence let in two tries, take that out we win, it was Garrick who missed badly when Jake was disgracefully and wrongfully put in the bin, Parker had a fair game, Shame he just missed grounding the ball, that try would have probably sealed it too, anyway the energy and self belief was there and it was good to watch even though I knew the end result, I know it was semi and that’s a huge difference, if you cant get up for a semi, there‘d be something wrong, but if we could find that passion and that energy, we’d be in the game this weekend, tommy wasn’t there, Parker garrick and suli were, I know it’s only round 3, but I think every game has be viewed as one we have to win, think like winners act like winners, desire and effort can get the job done, if we want it bad enough, can someone remind Des and the boys as I fear they have forgotten.

I think this is the key. When a side has a long losing streak, doubt & lack of confidence increase. It not easy to turn this around. Even though players go into games with a strong intention to make effort, it doesn't come off. When a team loses a lot, they forget how to win. Conversely, when a team is winning regularly, they know how to win, even from behind, and can easily target other teams' weaknesses. In that 2019 semi final, Manly played very well even though they had a big loss to the Eels just two weeks prior. There was teamwork, shape in attack & skillful offloads. So with a similar group of players now, it is still possible to play well and win games (harder without exceptional dummy halves, of course). If our attack suddenly 'clicks', wins will come. This will also require intensity for entire games, including consistent field position through forcing goal line drop outs etc.

We played great that game. Robbed.
Problem is 2019 Rugby League was totally different ballgame. Speed was not absolutely everything and we hit hard and gutsed it out.

2021 and no speed = lose.
