Match Stats

There's usually one Melbourne big win and then a close Manly win each season. I can see a repeat July 27 2019. A couple of Brookes/ DCE 40/20s and then a DCE field goal. Haven't seen one for a while. This'll be a close game.
Yes I’m not sure why but we always seem very UP V the Drizzle

Yes in those photos I only picked Max Krillich & Brad Parker.
Jesse Sene-Lefao was there with his usual big grin. Good to see him turn up. Wiki says he’s 36 and still contracted to Sheffield Eagles.

Danny Moore was interviewed on field as they went around. He mentioned how good it was to see the Hill still in place in this age of boutique stadiums.

Noticed Max K and Ian Thompson had a big grin for the BF stand.

Love seeing the old timers who aren’t so mobile out there leading the way for the lap of honour. The quality of the turf must look a bit different to when they played! 😁

Ah yes I did see Ian Thompson as well.

It’s notable that not many from say the last 20 years bother , but that’s possibly an age thing.

I certainly know the older you get the more likely you are to turn up to see mates from years gone by as you really never know when it’s the last time you might see them.

Went to a footy reunion , in 2023 , of the Moree side that won the University Shield in 1973.

Those guys were all my age and a few a year or two younger .

Already there’s 3 missing & we all looked around wondering who’s next.

Interested to know who this is:

Just to get this clear.

Jack Wighton went to Souths to win a comp?

So was he talking about NRL?

The potential irony is top shelf….…Raiders go on to win a comp, Jack a spoon, pretty funny if you ask me……..snatched the cash and lost……
He was actually offered more by the Raiders to stay ($1M per season vs reported $800k). He chose the Rabbits to attempt to win a comp & he had a bestie there in Latrell.
We all make choices in life.........................

Time for another quiz. It might not go as long this time.

Which player has played by far the most games for Manly from the interchange bench?

Bully is roaring up this table and now sits in 5th on 58 appearances.

Especially after a huge origin season for those boys. After the elation of tonight the Storm are ripe for the picking over the next few weeks.
