Also, what’s up with our first halves at home now? How come we aren’t coming into home games with any energy now? Is this all because of DCE?

When Corey Waddell was the one coming off the back fence you knew we were gone.

There's just too much wrong with this club currently.

I'm not saying anyone will be our saviour, but just give Navale an extended run ffs. We need leg speed and some youth in the pack.

Anyway, a long way to go, I'll keep turning up in hope and likely go home bitching..

Doubt they'd want him.
Worse was Seibold's demeanour at the presser. I'm normally a supporter of Seibold but his body language seemed defeated, as though he might know what the problem is but doesn't see a solution.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it because of disappointment, not at losing (well yes, at losing, but in particular at how badly Manly played)
I think you are probably pretty close with that assessment. It was a very disappointing result today. One of the biggest under Siebold I think. Mainly because we had everything in our favour leading into the game coming off a long break. I think he probably knows we will be rank outsiders to beat the Cows in Townsville. The season is hanging by a thread.

Watch Erin Clarke play every week. Warriors got him for nothing after he left a few years ago. They now have an elite 13 and it shows in their results. You could see his ability in a **** Titans side. There are players out there if you can identify them , which is why the Storm is the benchmark.
.
We recruit old cast offs with a comp wide known ceiling ; not even an attempt to identify young hungry guys who won’t break the bank and cost the same as these known plodders. Outside of Grant Nelson and Stefanie the Storm pack and bench consists of multiple guys who came cheap and had the right mindset.

This is the area that is killing us … this craven desire for experience rather than punting on potential. Let’s face it , could young eager kids go worse than the conga line of geriatrics we employed over last few years - it’s farcical. It defies logic.
Our recruitment has been stuffed ever since Noel Cleal left with Des to the Dogs all of those years ago.

Just watched the game, Mother’s Day and all that, what a sh1t way to end the weekend, we use to own the sharks, now it appears they’ve made us their bitch even at the fortress, can’t even really call it that at the moment, not looking forward to next week a whole lot either, pretty depressing.

Joke club isn’t serious about winning games at home let alone a premiership. Owners don’t care about any success for this team, & they are just happy putting a mid team together so suckers will pay to watch them.
If I was a Turbo or other good players at Manly who want success, I’d be serious about leaving Manly.

I was one of the 1st to say Jerbo should be dropped & he’s just getting more useless every week.
DCE is a clown who was never good & I’ve been a DCE hater from day 1, he’s one of the most overrated players in history. Didn’t do anything to try to win yesterday and that missed finger grabbing garbage at the end was a retirement ready disgrace.

Brooks is awful. Berbo is a 3rd grader. Huomole is the soul of the team but he had one week of Good passing game and it’s been awful passing ever since.

Koula is hardly ever passed the ball in good position, which is a massive waste of his talent….. actually there’s too many **** to name in this crap team.

Well, that was rough. Really rough. Team looked so lifeless it was bizarre. Time to drop the “Fear the Fortress” BS, I don’t think anyone is fearing playing here anymore after 3 straight losses. What a joke. DCE has played ONE half decent game since his announcement, shocking to absolutely nobody we won that game he was half decent in. Amazing what your halfback putting in effort does.

I’m not even going to get mad at Seibold, he picked the team we all wanted aside from Waddell.

Gonna need some serious discussions with Jurbo about if he should be in this team anymore. I love the guy but he does absolutely nothing in attack and our forwards really struggle in attack to get anything going, we rely on opposition errors and penalties to get up field now. He’s not the only one, but it’s really noticeable when our forwards looked better without him there 2 weeks ago. Speaking of the Trbojevic’s, Tommy was super quiet today, clearly not 100% and was very reluctant to just get involved at times. He only does that if he’s not well.

Koula did his thing, unfortunately we just don’t get him involved enough. Looks good when we do, but for whatever reason that doesn’t seem to be the game plan. Our left edge throws it around but looks so unthreatening it’s wild, meanwhile the right edge throws it around and drops it.

That’s 2 home games straight we go down 14-0, make the big comeback and then throw it away. It’s like we need to go down by a big lead to realise we should start playing, but unfortunately it’s too late by that point. If the team aren’t up for it big time next week, it’ll really show how the attitude of the boys is at the moment.

It’s not even that painful anymore though, like I’m always annoyed at a performance like that but I said after that round 2 loss by 20 to the Wahs when we were being talked about as premiership contenders all week in the lead up that we were zero chance of doing anything big this year. When you know this team well and have watched them in recent years, that is enough to confirm it. Even after our big wins I knew it wouldn’t equate to much in the long run this year. Just how the team is now. Attitude is gone, there’s zero desire to get up for home games anymore.

Dunno where we go from here, maybe scrape into the 8 still? We just look worse than last year, which really sucks. Last year we competed in every loss bar the last 2, this year we are being torn apart frequently and having to try and make a comeback which falls short. Will always look forward to watching us play, but this year has a weird feeling for me, almost like I just know win or loss the end game will always be another year of wasted potential. Team is great, premiership material. Attitude is awful though, has been at times for years but this year recently I’m seeing it more than usual.

Hope they can prove me wrong but we’ve all watched this movie many times before 🤷‍♂️
Agree with most of the things you said. Two things I can’t get my head around and can someone please explain it to me.
1. Why do we so often pass the ball so far behind the advantage line to a first receiver or to the backs. We are so far at a disadvantage before we even begin.
2. Turbo and Saab at least are not fully fit. Why don’t we give these guys an extra 2 weeks so they play with confidence when they come back. We seem to rush players back for the sake of playing them.

Not going to win any games in the N R L with that well below par completion rate , let alone against one of the better drilled sides in the comp .
Effort was there defensively for a good part of the match [ with one notable exception sadly ] but the lack of cohesion in attack and mistake rate again , just complete game killers
Thought that Burbo had one of his better games , Jake did well i thought for his slight transition , T K O with some helpful go forward at times .
Koula a must and surely highest priority to try and retain after next season
Turbo somehow managed to just get through the Panthers game within reason but yesterday , clearly ineffectual for what was needed from the back and would be very disappointing if he just intended to make this recent return with the main motivation to try to make a S O O side when obviously not fully recovered from whatever current injury issues . .Saab not looking all that flash either fitness wise
Think that D C E "s inadequate game has been already accurately covered .
Just wonder how the course of the game nay have changed if Koula could have finished off that Brooks break but thought that he still had to evade Kennedy and may have done so and then six up .
Maybe still would have not been enough but such a contrast when the side can temporarily put together some decent attack but so poor for the majority and following that i st half against the Dragons .
Not using Haumole anywhere near effective enough and a bit concerned how he seemed to be getting a bit battered around and a bit unnecessarily .
D C E 's hospital pass certainly did not help.
Where to go from here , hand onto the bloody pill for a start to give themselves at least a chance and for naturally D C E to clock on again

We the supporters deserve to know what is going on.
The pitiful performance was so disrespectful to the fans who turn up week in week out to give our wholehearted support and yet they delivered us that was so inexcusable.
I felt like going into the change rooms after the game and telling them my personal story and to show them they don’t have the problems I’m facing.
But don’t expect any urgent changes that may make a difference though.
I don’t understand why Tommy Talua is not in the side when in my opinion Saab doesn’t do much?

What is it with Ola these last few games...
Seems to be trying to reinvent himself as a playmaker throwing wild passes & kicking in general play.
Presume it is under instruction, but will regret saying that as I don't want to feed the anti-Siebold trolls!
I think Ola & the whole team has lost support for DCE. The last month every players is different, Ola just doesn't seem to get as much balls as he used to, that's why he's trying hard to do it himself. I don't mind it actually, soon he'll get better it'll pay off and we might have another Beaver Menzies in our side. Also the opposition will think he'll run over the top of them but instead a grubber to in goal try... something different I guess won't hurt us, specially we don't have any halves in the team.

Psssh...this is all everyone's fault.

You all wanted Jazz at lock, Jake at Prop, and Simpkin at hooker.

And we lost!

I blame all of youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu ewes

Seibold and DCE look like a couple of energy vampires in that post-match conference. Seibold looks very wary in the ‘Dictionary Swallower’s’ presence.

Let’s hope DCE transfers his energy vampire role to the Roosters next year and that the coach can overcome the affliction. Take it away Colin Robinson:

29 Missed Tackles, 17 Ineffective Tackles, 15 Errors, 7 Penalties, and 2 Set restarts. Those stats are comical and just aren't good enough for a team in the NRL. There is no excuse to put out a performance like that. Coming off a bye round, they should have been well rested. Maybe that was the problem, they were too rested that they were asleep at the wheel.

It would be good if there were three levels of pay for them i.e. a big pay for a win, an average pay for a draw and a bugger all pay for a loss. I'm sure then that they would be more enthused to put more effort into their performance if they want to be paid well because at the moment, where is the incentive to perform well. They know that they are going to be paid the same amount, win, lose, or draw. There is no personal hurt if they lose.

Has a certain logic to it, lol
However, the General-President of the RLPA (who has a second job currently playing halfback in NRL) may be hard to persuade on that one 🤷‍♂️
