it’s great that we won but that was a disgrace of a performance, a team missing 10 starters and we sneak by, any other team puts 50 on us

We have the muscle but lack either the motor or the motivation through the middle. The Roosters forwards really showed up (to back up the junior players) but ours turned to wet cardboard. Something needs to change, either with the way they are training or with how they view the team.

If they watch the video every one of our forwards will be looking for somewhere to hide, just soft by comparison to their counterparts apart from some very unexpected passion from Kelma, the rest were slow in both attack and defence

Rorters threw everything at us. Knew they would as it was season on the line for both. Neither side can afford too many more losses. Credit due DCE stand out, Garrick stand out, Jake we have really missed him. Hopefully with the bye we get a rest and face the last part of the year with everyone on deck. We've just got to find more in attack but credit to the rorters defense today as well as the continual offside.

Very happy with the win, however we had enough ball to win that game by 18 points.

We just have to look at the speed of the Roosters D to show what we need to be doing.

Woods can't run thru a wet paper bag.

Aloiai was good with zero handling errors.

Burbo was awesome after he eventually came on.

Koula was very good defensively.

Was it just me, or was Croker and DCE shutting out Schu by continually going right or passing it to Jake when they went left.
Considering Schu and Burbo won the match for Manly, it was strange.

I don't care that it wasn't a particular convincing performance, or that finals footy is still a pipe dream. We hung in there in a tight game and we won. And we beat the Roosters. Even if we don't win another game all year, I'll sleep well knowing that.

Roosters will win plenty of more matches with that defensive form showed tonight. Round 23 could well be a defining match.

Tough win, Roosters came out like a bull out of a gate defensively in the second half, must admit I was questioning if they were actually back the ten.

We did well to keep them out after the early try & eventually got one back.

Gritty win & good signs of resilience from our boys.

Yeah but being at the game it was so obvious their enthusiasm was far greater than ours for 65mins of the game. More line speed, harder running, more effort. They lacked skill but showed way more heart. We decided to start playing hard at the 65min mark. I think the better team lost tonight IMO.

Mate, forget the ground, it was clear everywhere. They were given PLENTY of latitude.

Not going to lie, this is a game we should have won, and won well given the Roosters outs. Pretty well close to their NSW Cup team, and key players were missing.

I don't know how to feel here. Like you, let's take the W, and enjoy it, they are pretty rare for us right now.

Missed the first half, so I'll suss it out tonight. What I DID see, Chez and Garrick were the standouts.

Yes they had outs but please, NSW cup side?? With teddy, manu, Keary, Radley, jwh, Collins?? Some sort of NSW cup side - even for the rorters.
