A lot of hate for Api. But if he doesn't play our defence will suffer big time. He's a machine. I'd start with him and interchange him with Green. Hastings at 6 for mine.

IMO Geen would be horrible as a hooker. Oh his skills would be fine, no drama there and they'd probably be an improvement over Api.....but his defense is shocking.

Api may miss tackles every now and then, but at least he gets in there. Can you imagine Green's arm grabbing defense in the middle of the park?

api > granville liccah brailey Hodgson Pritchard Levi mcilrik (tigers guy) check the stats mate. green to hooker won't do anything he's too slow and has he ever played there? api has good skill a grubber can put a hit on is fast and elusive. green can grubber.. could he take it for the full 80? we need hastings to cover for api like with Des we had two hookers in 08 it keeps the opposition guessing and a talent like hastings could shine on the back of tired forwards. He did good for us when he came on. brought that energy. last week was not apis fault at all our left edge was terrible bit in the 2nd we fixed it up. I'm happy with api not that turd brown hastings in for brown is what we all want

Most of the guys you mention have played a handful of games.Brailey has done a great job taking over from Ennis.id have him any day. Licca is hopeless.
Granville ?? has been injured since round 2 of and has been fantastic for Cows and great in the GF two years ago.Light years ahead our bloke.
As for Hodgson I suggest you watch tomorrow and see the effect a hooker who has a great passing and kicking game can have on a game. Equal with Friend as second best hooker in the game.

I never said anything about not being able to beat Canberra. I just said I don't think Green to hooker would be a good idea because of his lack of defense. Green in the middle would make Jake and the prop rotation have to work harder to cover his arse.

Personally I think we can beat the Raiders, but we're going to have to get back to what we did in our 3 wins because if the side that shows up at GIO is the one who got smashed by St Merge and then Melbourne for the first half last week.....we are in for a night of hurt.

I honestly didn't want Green to be signed in the first place. I'd be happy to drop Green entirely due to his piss poor defensive effort. The issue is that I don't think Api is cutting it with his service. If I had faith in Cullen to be a solid halves partner to DCE I'd suggest drop Green entirely for Cullen and drop Api to bench for Hastings. Then dump Brown as far as humanly possible and bring in a young forward to the bench.

I haven't been watching the NSW Cup so can anyone tell me how Cullen has been going?

I've watched Cullen the last two rounds and he's carved up, obviously a completely different level, but he's doing all he can to make an impression.

But at 31 years of age and averaging 10 tackles a game to expect him to go to hooker and make 40 plus tackles a game without missing 30 of them is at the least unrealistic. You are not going to strengthen the team by hoping to strengthen one position (5/8) and weakening hooker.

Cullen is an interesting player ... brilliant reggie, often the best player on the park, but has mistakes in him. Although he is capable of some good hits in defence, don't know if his defence is 1st grade standard. Only way to tell is when he gets his opportunity. I personally think his arms are too short.

Christ what a bloody headache this Api Green and Hastings situation.. I've read so many thoughts and opinions re this and my head is spinning lol I will say this though..sometimes selection headaches fix themselves when someone either plays themselves in our out of a footy team. If Green has his typically muddling game in attack with poor last tackle kick execution and Laipana put on 40 down his side with that pathetic defence of his he won't be playing the following week. We will not only be down the ladder but down on confidence and we can virtually kiss the season goodbye before its begun. Hastings could not possibly do any worse than Green has at 5/8 and given he has the added string in his bow as a GOAL KICKER he simply has to be in the STARTING side. Green was brought into the team as the cool head to give us structure and patience, help us build pressure in attack etc. That was his job. Yet the ends to our sets have been abysmal..no one seems to know wtf they're doing and I can count the amount of drop outs we've forced on 1 hand. Hastings must replace Green at 5/8 - u guys work out the hooking situation.. my head's spinning again
