Manly v Northern Territory 1985

^^Actually Al, Randall missed about half of the 1982 season, due to a long suspension he copped after a midweek game. So he was quite fresh when he returned to first grade late in the season.

I thought he was still playing very well at that time, if not at his absolute peak. He was still one of the most feared and respected forwards in the game.

^He had been playing in the front row, on and off, for years Stuey. Including in the 1976 GF.

Its not like Igor was old, even for then. At the start of 1983 he would have been only 32, but I get why he retired. Hard man of the 70s, tough tackler. He was a forward, not a pretty boy winger. Making 30 tackles and doing 15-20 hit ups a game for a dozen years doesn't do much for the body (and that's just first grade).

Brutal era, he definitely was a true warrior.
