There’s a theory voiced often on this forum that DCE is ineffective because, as our only playmaker, opposition teams can focus on him and close him down. I don’t think other teams actually care about DCE and they pretty much ignore him. It bit the Knights in the bum when they expected him to pass the ball along the line and he actually stepped and ran.

we need to keep driving it down the middle and occasionally shifting wide Cust and Parker or to Suli. The Knights are down on troups and should leave some gaps in the front line later in the game.

Difference is that Klemmer probably made as many tackles in that half as they had to in just 20 minutes. They've had 68% of possession, that makes a big difference.

We have tackled ourselves into the ground and probably lost some of the advantage we should have had with them losing a couple of players

That said, this game is still there to be won. I just feel sick as it is reminding me of those TBaz days watching this game.

Hopefully that possesion figure gets closer to 50/50

Atkins is doing us no favours we r being held down and slowed
We do look better with Croker at 9 and despite the that howler Cust looks better at 6 thank Croker (although I still think we have to give schuster a go at 14)
The try on half time is a killer ,we get away with nothing ,Jakes tackle is being done by NC all the time and we get no restart
I still think if we can settle we can win
I’d be running Suli side more as I don’t think Hoy is a winger

Had big hopes this season. Bloody key injuries and poor discipline along with stupidity for us. Not sure how we go week to week any more. I know on our day we are nearly unbeatable. Just seems so far apart from our best to our worse

Actually I'd rather keep Cust despite the mistake and have him and Croker rotating at dummy half after Walker comes back.

Unfortunately the only thing Danny Levi has going for him is that his passes from dummy half are clean.

Parker and Suli have to come in field hitting hard lines behind the ruck to generate some straight direct punch and the chance of quick play the balls, then off the back of this short passing through the forwards---we don't have enough flair or footwork throughout the team to be overly lateral or to expect much to happen off second phase play. (Siro can also chime in short off the ruck)

Trundling go forward lacking footwork and speed along with Jake acting as a linkman in the middle is not going to offer much especially minus Tom and Walker.

Good to see DCE show and go, keeping it simple for once and not overplaying his hand, if he keeps doing that it will help straighten the attack,eventually against a fatiguing defensive line DCE can take advantage of defenders shoulders turned inwards and be more effective with his passing game.
