Team Victory Song:

We are the Manly boys,
We had a win today,
We are the boys you know of
We showed them how to play,
No matter where we’ll be
Maroon and White you'll see,
Oh aren’t we a wonderful credit
To our locality,
So cheer boys cheer,
We are together,
Every now and then we have a win…..have a win
We will play them all around
At our home or any ground,
If they’ll always play a fair and honest game
So it’s GUZZLE GUZZLE GUZZLE
As we pour it down our muzzle,
And sing out the order loud and clear, 'MORE BEER',
And we will drink all night
Until we are very tired
In the shade of the Manly Leagues Club.

I've been waiting for a performance like that all year: a good, strong win, never in doubt. The Knights just didn't show up, but a lot of that is down to us finally getting a fast start and not throwing it away. Sipley and Brown deserve a lot of credit for that.

How good is it that the only downside of the game is that we just fell short of putting 50 on the scoreboard?

And how good is Lehi Hopoate? Man, that kid was born to play rugby league. I never want to see him in reserve grade again.

Agree Garrick had a great game, his best so far at centre. I just wonder would he have played as well if specialist centres Gagai or Best were playing?
Great point. Best is playing exceptionally week in week out and is in elite player form.
Obviously Garrick was strong in defence and hit-ups but it was his support to Saab that impressed me the most. Sometimes games like these brings player's confidence levels up.

Must say that was unexpected , perhaps not winning so much but the scoreline AND thats with a load of stars either injured or on rep duty.

What a great day for the Golden Eagles , the smile on Killers face when Lehi caught that ball then passed inside for the try was a be mile wide ( think he was sitting next to Robbo who scored a few good ones himself in the day ).

That was a great game plan from the coach , sorry “ Seidud”, maybe we’ll have to start calling him “ Seiexpert” soon 😂😂😂.

Although looking back it was definitely a dud call in not playing young Humphreys in the South’s game , so maybe he’s just back to Seibold for a while.

Hoppa is a freak. He would be 80kgs wringing wet but his carries were so strong. He has everything but size, but the size will come given his genetics. Once in a generation talent he will be the best hoppa by a fair margin and that includes his old man.

Just so much to like about that performance but here are the best bits -

87% Completions

Only 6 Errors!

8 Line Breaks lol

Tom Turbo - 3 Try Assists & 3 Line Break Assists

Saab - 4 Line Breaks & 2 Try Assists

Garrick - 4 Line Break Assists in a Monster of a Performance

Hopoate - 241 Running Metres (72 Post Contact Metres) in a totally flawless Man of The Match Performance

Brooks was highly involved with a great kicking game today

Brown was Magnificent today with 161 running metres, 31 tackles and zero errors. He also played the entire 80 minutes.
