When your mob finally catches up with our premiership tally, give us a shout.

and how many of your 13 "Premierships" were determined by a Grand Final?

I'll tell you, ONLY 4 (1974, 1975, 2002 & 2013).

The rest were determined by where you finished at the end of season proper with the exception of 1911, 1923, 1935, 1936, 1940 & 1945 when you tied with another team and then played a final to determine the outright premiership winner.

Come back and spruik how good your team is when they have actually gotten a better Grand Final winning tally than us. :p

Further to my previous comment, previous to 1954, Premierships were determined by league ladder position but since 1954 when the grand final was officially sanctioned as the only way to determine the premiership, your mob have only appeared in 11 Grand Finals

(1960, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1980, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2010 & 2013)

in comparison to Manly's 17

(1957, 1959, 1968, 1970, 1972, 1973, 1978, 1982, 1983, 1987, 1995, 1996, 1997, 2007, 2008, 2011 & 2013).

We could also claim an 18 Grand Final appearance if you count the 1978 GF Replay.

Seriously what idiot comes onto an opposition fan forum , stirs up trouble, then comes back after a loss.

A: One that's not very smart

Arrived back in Australia just in time to catch most of this match.
With a fit and in-form Brett Stewart I felt pretty confident and so it turned out.
A couple of things perhaps canvassed elsewhere. I can't temember more runs from Ballin. I wonder if this was a surprise tactic for the Chooks or he will do so more regularly.
One thing I think we need to shelve against Easts is short bombs to their wingers, which we seem to have repeatedly used against them for a while now to no effect. Not only is Toupou a better jumper than our wingers but they shepherd very effectively. Don't think one kick was even contested.

To the Easts trolls, anyone with a memory that goes back past last year (and that isn't any Easts supporter not keen on recalling seasons of being a mercenary rabble and even wooden spooners) will know that the Chooks have for a decade or more been our biatches. Yes, they had a good run in 2013 but normal service has now been resumed.
Consider also that with the frequent dudness of your halves SBW is easily your main attacking weapon. Now he has decided he has had enough of tackling and having found a rugby club who will offer him his customary Koran-sized check he's going to leave the dunny door swinging on his way out at the end of the season. You are going back to being the Losesters.

looks like i've touched a few nerves here.

honestly, it doesn't matter how you get them, the record books say Roosters 13 - Manly 8

That includes last year, where we won 26-18.

The premiers roll on, and i roll out.

Adios, also-rans!

Gotta hand it you, we couldn't get near you guys in 1911 and 1927. Or so my great great great grandfather might have told me if I'd ever met him.

Of course, since you have had to contend with Manly you've only managed 4 premierships in 67 years! So looking at that paltry record I can't really blame @Premiers for milking every last drop out of 2013.

plus plus plus with so much wrong with the world...it's....it's just ignorant to celebrate something as meaningless as last years GF.

The disher strikes (wah's) again.

The cold weather must be shrinking the mods collective ban hammers!

"The premiers roll on". Weren't you watching Friday night? The premiers got rolled!
The history books say since Manly entered the comp Easts have won (bought perhaps the more operative word) 4 premierships to Manly's 8.
Overall head to head: Sea Eagles 81 Roosters 43 Drawn2. That's despite the Easts being the more established club.
Manly are twice as good. But in your heart you know that

Lucky me on school holidays. Got to the Coast on time to watch the match live on NBN. Got to say IMO it was Manly's most impressive win of the year.
The rorters seemed bigger, faster, stronger but Manly didn't give up and out played them in the end. Awesome win.:)

Absolutely! I haven't seen a replay yet, but from memory, some of the one on one defence was fantastic!! Old school type hits. Put the shoulder in front on, lift and drop. Shut the play down immediately. Great win!! Give us more Manly!!!
