Overall, very relieved after that win. Was glad Manly supporters remained classy and cheered on our captain.
Interesting presser. Chez not happy with an apparent 'smear campaign' and he knows where it's coming from. Reading between the lines, it's within the club, imo?
I'm glad to hear was concerned about being booed and that he felt quite emotional with the reception he got.
He's an interesting character. I haven't been all that friendly to him this week. Mainly because I'd decided he didn't give a rats about the fans.
It appears he does though.
Thanks for the win Manly.
Parra suck.
Go Manly!

Press conference turned out to be more about DCE than the game, I thought Seibold could have saved him there a couple of times and interjected after the 7 minute mark.

Big task against the Storm without Tent and Turbo.

Good to see the team play a game in the middle and in the forwards for a change. It looked pretty ordinary. It was all, slow, and without the needed intensity. We tried to grind a win. That's not a bad thing. And today shows we clearly have room to improve it.

Tallis was laying into him on MMM. Buzz has been too so I think that's where DCE displeasure is with. Still butt hurt on the Titans backflip. What a tosser.

Not that I have any energy left to even care (!) but seems like it's not about wanting more money or about wanting 2 years.
And he already said there wasn't any animosity with the club.
So it's obvious. He has to leave Manly because...
(I have no idea)

Yeah I can't figure it either. If he's already done a deal with the evil empire then it'll be such a bad look.

It was good to get the win but geeez Parra was ordinary. Dylan Brown??? Parra fans won't get any kinder to him.

Overall, I thought we were good given the circumstances. Tom playing on no legs for the back end of the 1st half and on and off rain didn't help.

I am worried we are relying too much on Haumole and it only seems a matter of time before he picks up an injury. He was buggered today but still kept taking on the line. Ben was doing ok again until he got moved around but he needs to share more of the load with Haumole. Aloaia was good again but that a/c injury he picked was a massive hit from 4 Parra players. Not surprising he came of second best. But he did still make metres even after the hit. And TKO is certainly earning his contract. Brownie ok for his first run and Bulle good again off the bench. Thought he should've had more minutes but as @Dion Johnson mentioned, it could've been to give Brownie more minutes.

Great to see Tolu running full speed at a gap. We have to see more of that.

Anyway, the Storm next week will be the obvious big test. There has been a number of times in the games we have won, that teams have gotten numbers on us out wide. Even Parra did it a couple of times today and it was only poor last passes that saved tries. The score could have been much closer. The Storm won't make those mistakes. We need to work that out quick.

The Parra fan behind me was giving it to Penny Lane. Ironically he scored a try.
I heard no mention from him of Dylan Brown. I guess you have to do something in order to be noticed. I can't see him remaining in First Grade next week.
Frankly, Doesn'tmatta has a very limited attack, but I wouldn't mind trying to recruit their big No. 18. He showed promise.

The only other reason can be home to Redcliffe for family reasons. I can live with that.

Team Victory Song:

We are the Manly boys,
We had a win today,
We are the boys you know of
We showed them how to play,
No matter where we’ll be
Maroon and White you'll see,
Oh aren’t we a wonderful credit
To our locality,
So cheer boys cheer,
We are together,
Every now and then we have a win…..have a win
We will play them all around
At our home or any ground,
If they’ll always play a fair and honest game
So it’s GUZZLE GUZZLE GUZZLE
As we pour it down our muzzle,
And sing out the order loud and clear, 'MORE BEER',
And we will drink all night
Until we are very tired
In the shade of the Manly Leagues Club.

After a dramatic week, and in such crazy weather, I'm just thankful for the win. Can't believe we're in 2nd place but who knows for how long.

Was hoping we'd get through the game unscathed, particularly in view of next week's game, but not to be...again. Everyone around me was saying "Turbo's gone again...again...again".

Glad Saab didn't get hurt catching the bomb and spearing himself into the ground. As for his post-try celebration, have no idea what that's about, but happy he scored.

Great atmosphere at Brookie today, with plenty of cheering and clapping (seemed more so than normal) and definitely no booing. I was surprised how much DCE was supported and cheered and after the week that was, and the build up, I admit it teared me up.

Parra really are a bottom of the ladder side. I don't think we ever got into top gear, as we didn't need to and the conditions were poor, but I fear next week's game is going to be a whole lot different.

A famous football (soccer) player does that celebration after scoring a goal. Dybala
