Solid win
Credit to the Eagles fans i was very interested to see the skippel reception and it appeared to remain respectful
Geez aren't the Eels in shambles, the seven figure man Dylan Edwards looks to be about as useless as tits on a bull

Key take aways for me.

  • We beat Parra, it's always nice
  • DCE played like a $850k a year half back
  • Taka was massive in replacing Tent
  • As long as Daly tries more than Dylan Brown is when leaving the club, I'll be content
  • Ola was injured in the second half. I'm calling that he'll be doubtful for Storm
  • Our pack looked small with Toff or Tent.
  • We seem to have this tackle 4 game plan this season where Jake or Brown just take a settled. I don't get it.
  • I really feel like Seibold set them a plan to play structured mistake free football today and work on their defence. If that was the case they did what was asked. But from a fans perspective, it wasn't convincing.

That was a win that left more questions than answers, the team looked flat and were playing the same standard of footy as Parramatta.

TKO he gets better each week, Koula he only has one gear and that’s full throttle, looked to have the most enthusiasm in his ball running.

Bully only got 34 minutes, he has been playing around 50 minutes, hopefully nothing wrong there and they were just giving Brown minutes.

Apart from that final try, this was probably our best execution of a winning game plan this season. The edges were talking and sliding well in defense, shutting down threats. No panic footy, kept it composed. Brooks and DCE took on the line, playing against the grain and opening up some great angles. A disciplined, low-risk game plan that should hold up well against the heavyweights.

After the week we’ve had, that was a good win.
Everyone just did their job. I’ll take it…

Tougher next week..
Yeah, the most important thing was to simply get the game out the way. We are now one week further away from Cherry's decision (or one week closer to him making it, depending on how you choose to look at it), the emotion can die down, and we can get on with things.

Even Tommy's nobody-saw-that-coming injury is no big deal when we've got Lehi ready to replace him.

For those that stopped watching Fox just announced an interview with D$E at half time in the Tigpie v Wah match

No Jerome Hughes next week, maybe Papsmear and Hairy Grunt will injure themselves or each other at practice
