Seibold needs to show some ticker and make the selections that he needs to make. If he keeps doing the same thing each week we will keep getting belted. Looks like he is afraid of loosing the playing group although the performances the last two weeks suggest he may well have already achieved that outcome.

Strong Dragons backrow, obvious good level centres if given opportunities .
Not sure how much Gutho is offering from the back these days .
If Manly can have some reasonable control on the tempo of the game and aim up in defence , maybe able to get best value out of their undoubted attacking ability again .
Still think that Lehi has to be used to better effect in attack but the whole attacking approach has to lift a bit .
Definitely can not allow the Dragons to get on a bit of a roll at any extent ,otherwise could make it a tough night to right the ship again

When I heard we had signed him I honestly thought it must be the son of the original Chee Kam, his first stint was that long ago. A mind boggling signing.
He's all that we can afford apparently. Tom, Jake and DCE contracts mean we are only able to target washed up old forwards with plenty of experience.

Surely this is last chance saloon for some of them.

Top loading Koula, Garrick, Saab, Lehi, Paseka and Quac has no doubt chewed up a fair portion of the cap too, throw in Brooks, but his price is probably around the money, but yer if our cap is that screwed we can only afford, the Browns, Chee Kams, TKOs, Tevungas, Lodges, Woods etc to help out up front, then yep, you how the……old…….saying goes, you get what you pay for and that’s on show for all to see.

What on earth do we see in Chee Kam. He was rubbish the first time he was with us, was rubbish at the TigPies and the Wabbits. He is a journeyman who can't find a home because he is rubbish, and we take him back..............of course we did......................good grief.
Spot on assessment. Watched him a couple of times in the Reserves - Looked disinterested.

Patolo played well for the Dogs in first grade. I'd be getting him and Navale into the seventeen and persisting with them. Navale has performed very well at international level. They are young with plenty of upside, unlike Sipley and Brown. Move Jake to prop.

The Melbourne loss was bad.

Last weekend v Sharkies was the loyalty pick, to see if the squad would bounce back of their own volition.

Newsflash!! They didn't.

This week was the week to make a few changes, if only to send a clear message to the entire squad.

I'm very disappointed in the Team selection from Seibs this week tbh, and I've been a backer of him, so far.
Yeah it’s a bit ‘rinse and repeat’ isn't it. Although i don’t know what options he’s really got to make changes. I actually think last week was a worse loss than the Melbourne game. We just looked hapless.

Has to be worth a shot, if we loose tomorrow at home, there has to be changes, not sure about Navale’s availability till Rd 11? Definitely give Patolo a run, elevating him might just see him recapture that old dogs form, I like Sips, but his not offering much at present. It’s a sad state of affairs.

Not quite sure about Patolo - watched him recently in NSW Cup - looked very rusty and not very mobile. Maybe needs more time to get properly fit as apparently he was out of the game for a long period injured. Agree about Navale - would play him at lock with Jake moving to front row. Obvious the pack needs a youth/speed injection. Re the Saints game - Saints have a big and mobile pack -hope I am wrong, but doubt our lot, on recent form, will be able to hold them.

The salary cap for 2025 is $11.4m for the 30 highest remunerated players at each club plus up to $0.3 million Veteran and Developed Player allowance and a $0.1 million Motor Vehicle allowance.

Using figures from ZeroTackle (I don't know how accurate they are but it's a starting point):

DCE $1m
Jake $1m
Turbo $1.2m
Brooks $700k
Haumole $900k
Paseka $600k

Total $5.4m - $300k V&DPA & $100k MVA = $5m

Remainder = $6.4m divided by 24 players = $266,666.66k average salary per player.

Remember Garrick's supposed to be on a good wage, as is Koula, plus they recently upgraded & extended Lehi, & I think Saab is on $400k+.

Is it that hard to see why we are weak in some areas?

Looks like Navale is training with first grade, as is Waddell (still suspended):

Also, what the hell is going on with Brown here? They have very clearly edited something out, I have absolutely no clue what.

The ZeroTackle salary estimates seem high for Jurbo, Brooks and Guacca; I'd say you could knock $100,000 off each.
If Tent is being paid $600,000 it is also too high. He spends more time in a MASH unit than on the field, and when he does it's only for 40 minutes. He should be on 50% of Guacca's salary.
