Batten down your neighbour's hatch, that'll be on their patch, so maybe make a batch....

(c'mon footy)
Luckily I'm 18m above sea level on Gold Coast.
Have got some fuel for the generator and prepared a bit outside (loose stuff away)
Expecting we'll get 500mm of rain so and 100kph winds.

Went to Bunnings last night to get some taps for laundry and it was so busy.

I should be right being up the range, but water lapping Picnic Point would be a sight to behold!

Yeah I’m in Bris northern suburbs. Got a few sandbags at Boondall last night. No staples on the shelves at woolies last night. Speaking of the staples, will prob call into the bottlo today to grab some beers in advance.

Looks like Jake will be playing big minutes at 13 if not the whole game with only Tevaga the only likely option there for whatever time .
Then Tevaga having to provide some level of input at 9 as the main priority so not sure how that is intended to be managed .
Hopefully Manly 's defence can hold up to enable them to have the best shot .
Would be preferable for Saab to play but at least Faulalo is reliable if needed .
Pleased that Patolo has been given an opportunity to start at prop in the Regies , could come on well .
Conditions will play a part so will just have to see what happens in that department

What has happened to Joey Walsh? I haven't seen him named anywhere
Don 't know much about glandular fever but maybe knocked Joey Walsh about quite a bit when he apparently contracted it a couple of months ago or so .
Seemed to be coming on well in the off season training going into late last year before he got crook so really a shame with this setback

2025 make or break for Nella and Toff these two blokes have promised so much since about 2019-20 and have never consistently shown us how good they can be. Love both of them but it's time they deliver. I'll call it Rd 10 or when ever he is allowed to a fit and firing lodge will be back in the 17. I think the way lodge, brown and now the former rooster with the big name have come in and made an impact really shines the spotlight on the likes of Nella, toff and Garlic sauce. They have been flat track bullies for too long.

This line-up is basically the same as last year's, which realistically and ultimately, was uncompetitive with the best sides. To make it worse , IMO, we have been bolstered by a few aging players cast off from their previous clubs. As an example, the selection of Tevaga as run on dummy-half points to a problematic depth situation. The backs are top class but generally most of the back-ups in NSW Cup are not near to NRL standard, so hoping against hope we don't have injuries to a number of key players. One bright light - the emergence of Hopoate who during the trials played with more poise and physical maturity as compared with last season. Wish we had a few more local juniors like him.

Competition can bring out the best in em. The are fighting for a spot that is for sure.

Took down our shade sails yesterday. Cleaned up all the loose junk outside.
We're at Burleigh Heads right in the firing line but elevated so no flooding for us thankfully.
