Can someone explain to me why Talau can't be used as our right edge backrower for a while and use Waddell in the middle rotation? Surely this improves our mobility across the park. Obviously if a back goes down mid-game, we can revert back to the status quo. Talau completely wasted of late, more so now that Haumole is out
Said this a while back Pete. We should have been developing into the back row for two and a half months now. He should have played at least two NSW cup games there for experience.

Suspect it’s because at only 92kg he would be the smallest or close to the smallest edge forward in the game plus he’s never played in the position before.

I can explain it. We have a coaching cohort completely without any ideas outside the square. Simples.

My place on gold coast has had 1.79m of rain since November 1.
Yeah I’m not home at the moment - I’ll check my rainfall chart on the fridge when I get home, I know it’s similar here. My paddock is wetter now than it was earlier when other places were flooded. Water is still flowing out of the hills, I don’t remember the water table being so high for so long.

We were going tonight, but the M1 in this? You're gonna have to do it without us boys.

Go Manly!!!

(And go Foxtel through any storms at game time - it can be diabolical!)

Because he's a winger who's never played second row? Just guessing, could be wrong
He's a good player but much injured of late
Not a good enough reason in my books. He's actually more a centre. If anything, defending 2 positions in makes things a lot more simple actually

Very similar in weight to backrowers like Mann, Stone, Radley, Aitken, Lawton etc but I would say quicker and with better footwork. His size is not the issue, the question is more to do with whether he could handle the increased workload.

He slimmed down last year and found career-best form. Can't imagine he now wants to put it back on to play an edge.

My theory..... I could well be wrong.

What I would say is he should play in the forwards, regardless in the last 10- 15 minutes if he is picked on the bench and isn't needed in the backline.
