Manly v Canberra. Pre-Game discussion. (Rd 4 2018)

Say that again, crazy!. If Barrett is considering crazy changes like this, he might aswell go full loco and put himself in the number 6 jersey, and bring back Lewie Brown and put him at prop!

I think a lot of thinks are falsely contributed to Baz ... it appears to be just a lazy journo again .... #makeupshiiteandjumptoconclusions

Sorry but cannot help think we will have our pants pulled down on Saturday, especially now we’ve lost the power of Horhay’s metre gaining runs.

I sincerely hope I’m wrong.
Greenturd's antics have made my blood boil and so will the men in maroon and white this week. Slander our legend at your peril you little weasel word cnt. Sticky's faders are a shambles. Fat and slow. Manly by 16.

Two close games between the sides last season and similar personnel for this clash so desire and a real will to win will obviously play a part and hopefully Manly will be well motivated there . Manly need to play to their strengths again and particularly with their good go forward , Siro needs to step up and definitely have to use Turbo more effectively from full back . Improving and getting their outside sliding defence in order will be important too . Never a better time for Manly to make a real statement on the field with a strong and winning performance and to really stick to the Manly haters and Greenberg [ and his corrupt administration ] . Go Manly .

So I watched a bit of the Panthers last night and saw what a difference an experienced quality 5/8 does to a team. It transforms them into a completely different beast. They know when to run, when to kick, when to pass..they manage the game for their team. It appears that TB is gonna stick with Croker AGAIN for this massive game. If we lose because of another insipid performance from this kid the loss could have massive implications on our finals chances. Yet we have another option in Hastings who is ready to go and even his worst game will be a major step up on the kid wearing #6 now. Crokers time may come in the future but tough calls need to be made now. Pig headed arrogance in persisting with things that clearly aren't qualities in a coach I want to see. Own the error and fix it now. (And go Manly)

I saw a bit of the game too and it showed that eager, huge, agile forwards crap all over a representative 5/8 and future immortal halfback @

Croker is progressing just fine. Manly forwards have to step up and tire out the opposition

1 more sleep till redemption Manly

Sea Eagles: The Sea Eagles have no other injury concerns heading into the Raiders clash after news Jorge Taufua would miss the next two months with a broken collarbone. There is speculation Jackson Hastings could move into the starting side this week with Lachlan Croker to make way.

Tyrone Peachey played 5/8 for the Panthers last night and he was pretty ordinary. Maloney was playing in the 7.

Austin won’t be playing

Raiders coach Ricky Stuart says Joe Tapine, Aidan Sezer and Sia Soliola will be right to play against Manly. The demotion of Blake Austin is to send a message to the rest of the of the side after 0-3 start #NRL #WeAreRaiders @NRLcom

Just snuck home last season and Walker who is out, was massive.
Will need to lift on that again against a desperate Raiders team.
Hope the forwards from that embarrassment against Souths stay in bed and the pack that demolished the Eels turns up.
Then we can hear how good our halves are again.
Make no mistake, the performance from Maloney last night was based on the Penrith pack dominating the contract and tempo of the game.

Dear God,

I know today isn't the best day to be annoying you ... given what happened ... bloody Romans . .. But anyway, at least we get a holiday, and that's good....

If you could see your way clear to give us a victory over those heathern Viking Happy Clappers that would be great .... I assure you the look on Ricky's face will be worth it ... it will crack you up, and make you feel better instantly.

Massoud on the mark again:

This from the club media -

Barrett says Croker will definitely be starting at #6 this weekend against the @RaidersCanberra.

Why tell the opposition what we're going to do?

Just to confirm a few of the posts above

While Lussick and Suli aren't a part of the squad to play the Raiders, Barrett quashed speculation that Api Koroisau would slot into the No.6 jersey at Lachlan Croker's expense, with Jackson Hastings coming off the bench to start at No.9.

"I don't know where that's come from. Crokes didn't train on Tuesday because of the HIA (head injury assessment) and that’s how we rolled. But that (switch) won't be happening," he said.

"Crokes will definitely play (five-eighth) and there has definitely been no contemplation or thought about anything else."
