I assume the fact that we were versing the warriors in wet and slippery conditions made Des think that playing Cuthbo could end being a liability with his renown offloads. He probably wanted to grind it out more with players such as bryant and hall other than the more riskier cuthbo.

No way was that a send off though and Des said so in the media conference afterwards. Maybe theres nothing in it and Des just likes Willow and Bryants reliable boringness.

The only thing that's saved bryant is he's been safe with he's ball handling as for metres gained i'm not sure.

Metres gain, Bryant isn't too bad for the minutes he plays, but in terms creating something, Cuthbo is the man.
