Damien Irvine - when you start to worry about our own off-field efforts, along comes this guy to underline why Manly consistently make the finals and Cronulla don't.

When I heard that Matai and Williams were cleared and are able to play in the Grand Final, I was glad. Add to that the returns of Glen Stewart and Darcy Lussick from suspension. We've got the team back together.

Glad? Glad? I was f***ing doing flip flops across the kitchen screaming like a stuck pig! Matai would have been a major loss; he excels in the big one. And T-rex will be very useful against the big units from the warriors, probably off the bench. So happy for them.

like you say, we basically get to field our best team in the absence of the long term injured, wolman and kingy. where would hoppa have played if wolfy had been fit?
