Mate, I said the exact same thing a few weeks ago and copped the usual pile on from the usual suspects. We rely on teams not turning up for a fight. If they do, we usually capitulate.

We’ve had one good win all year I reckon and that was vs Penrith. Most other games the other team has been pretty poor and we’ve done enough to beat them.

"Off the boil" is putting it a little too kindly. He is the captain of our club and he seems completely disinterested in doing anything that might help the side to win. He is dragging down everyone around him and seems determined to get Seibold sacked before he himself moves on. It's a total sh#t show, and he is at the very heart of it.

Once he made his "I'm not retiring and I'll be playing anywhere but Manly next year" announcement, I was happy enough for him to stay and guide the team. He said he was going to put in for the rest of the year and I believed him. Even if he didn't have any love for the club and the players, I figured he was at least professional enough to show some pride in his own performances - and from time to time, he has. But as it stands, the situation is completely untenable. And like you, I have no idea how they're going to get out of it.

Taking the captaincy off him would be a start, and should have happened a long time ago.

If we play like we have, we’re no chance against them. I won’t be tipping manly ever again this year. I’ll get one or two games wrong I’m sure, but I’m betting I’ll get more right.

Should of happened the Tuesday morning, the day after he went on TV. Spoilt little brat and has thrown all his toys out of the cot. Looks like Billy Slater wasn't so stupid after all.

I think DCE thought his TV announcement would result in multiple suitors throwing huge offers at him but it backfired on him when Galvin became the flavour of the month.

Losing his SOO spot (& captaincy along with it) surely was the final nail in the coffin of his contract potential?

Now he’s playing like a sulky kid.

Really professional from the guy who seemed to pride himself on his professionalism all these years.

Looks like Super League will be his next adventure. If hasnt already signed with the Roosters, I doubt any NRL team would want him.

Looks like Super League will be his next adventure. If hasnt already signed with the Roosters, I doubt any NRL team would want him.

Perhaps he and Seibs can go to the super league as a package deal? We can throw in Dymock for free.

Yes I agree. Our form is horribleterrible and we are indeed being beaten by the worst teams in the comp. But I think we have a little more upside to climb out of this hole and we shoullllld get away with it. Jag one win and enjoy the byes, we would well be top 8 again - and that tells you this is not an "exciting" year but a "sh1t" year for NRL because bottom 4 is exactly where we should be.
