Manly local Bradley Parker finally got a first-ever start in his preferred centre position for his beloved Sea Eagles last weekend and promptly scored a try in an impressive win over the Roosters; now the freshly re-signed local junior is hoping it is the start of a more consistent run in first grade.

I can't see Barrett keeping Kelly out for the rest of the year. I hope Parker's form is irresistible, or Kelly's is. That position is the weakest link in our backline right now so whoever fills it needs to be the highest quality.

Having said that, Dylan Walker has missed an unforgivably high humber of tackles this season.

Good situation. Parker playing as best he can not to lose the position. Kelly pushing him along by playing as good as he can (in reserves im assuming?) to try and get the position back. Nicely done Barrett. I tip my hat to you.

TB made the right call last week and Brad Parker did a great job, it is nice to see the club invest in our juniors and carry on in building the winning culture we have at our club, our best teams have always had quality juniors at its core. The team that is building has that in spades, we are well placed moving forward.

"On the weekend I found out captain's run that I was starting, I only found out the Saturday so I didn't really have all week to think about it too much," Parker laughed.

"He said 'Park I'll start you Sunday' and I said 'yep no worries' so I only really had one night to think about it. Then I did all right Sunday so I think it's better for me!"

lol

Brad will have an off game or 2 as well as all young players do. Between the 2 you can cover this.
Brad was a very consistent performer last year before he got injured .
Baring injury I cant see Big Red out of the team

This didn't take long to pop up..

He reminds me at times of Jack Reed or Brent Tate when they first broke in to 1st grade and I haven't got a clue why (maybe its the red hair). Although he's a bigger body than those two so hopefully he has a better run of luck with injuries. I reckon my unexplainable resemblances will cease the more time he earns himself in 1st grade.. He deserves the wraps he's getting and I'm stoked he re-signed so we can watch him develop from local junior to a champion

I liked his pass to Wright for a try assist in the roosters game; because it just showed that unlike so many other 'alpha dawgzzzzz' he doesn't feel the need to try and score himself when close to the line. He realised Mathew was in a better position and so gave him the ball.

Liked his try as well though!

Thank you for the highlights feathered friend .
Big Red Brad Cracked the NRL as a 19 year old last season and prior to injury he consistently made an impact with every opportunity he was given .
There is no stopping Big Red Brad . We have a player of the future

What about that stepping run when he evaded and outpaced 5 big New Zealand Warriors to score a sensational solo try last year at JUST 19 years of age !!!

There was a game last year against the Raiders where their big pack was just smashing us especially taking it off our own line. Parker always put his hand up and got belted .... but never shirked his task. He's a good kid.
