It was a case of strength in numbers with plenty of determined youngsters at the Sea Eagles’ ‘Club Day’ training session at Narrabeen on Saturday.

The final weekend pre-season training session before the Christmas break saw players from the Manly Jersey Flegg (formerly Holden Cup), Blacktown Workers Intrust Super Premiership and the NRL squad come together for a joint skills session before doing some opposed ball work.

No better way to build the culture of the club from the bottom up. Gives the youngsters tangible hope that hard work and dedication can pay off. Also the first graders leadership and mentoring skills. Great idea for team bonding and morale. It would be great to make this a regular occurrence.

Clever move manly, brings a realisation to players that there is a real competition for spots. Also pushes young guys to try impress and further add pressure to players that forces them to continually try improve
