There are other sides of the coin in any situation but an optimists believes and has the courage of his conviction and his confidence in a person often pays off . There is no greater motivating factor than some one believing in you .
I would rather give a young talented player an opportunity ahead of past their prime players every day of the weak .

The argument is that young players who are given a go in top grade will rise to the challenge.
History says no. Very few players make the grade at a young age. Look at the Australian Test team, or Origin teams, and you will see many of the top players in the game are closer to the end of their career than the start.
Ideally you want one or two outstanding youngsters forcing their way into a mature established team.

History does say that the young players that were given the opportunity made it and that's because the coach showed faith in their ability and gave them the opportunity instead of holding them back to keep players that are past it .
Young Suli at 18 made the grade with the tigers and played 17 NRL games last year is one of many examples .
Few have played fro their country and SOO at 20 and many have played for their club at 20 .
As I said before , I would rather give a young player with potential an opportunity than stick with a player that is past it .
