Manase Fainu

and it is possible he will need to have another operation to tighten up his shoulder so it doesn't keep popping out?
No need for an operation...

Even with a positive trial outcome I can't see him plating in 2021. Sounds as though his shoulder needs further surgery.

what's peoples thoughts on whether this court case could derail our season? obviously that also hinges on our season still being on the rails come July but would have to think all the attention on this would distract the boys regardless of a guilty or not verdict.

I honestly don't think it will have an effect. If he was a more high profile player maybe, but I can't see this one being in the media as much as De Belin or Hayne was.

If it does distract the guys then they don't deserve to play finals 🤷 after all, our run home from here considering the yes current form isn't overly tough. Really only two games in August that should be challenging (Melb and Parra) and both are played at Brookie.

He’s pretty high profile in the scheme of things. He’s the only NRL player still stood down under the policy and the charges are attempted murder.

Im pretty sure the media will be all over that.

I don't think the messy Manase situation will affect our season. In fact, even if proven innocent I don't see him playing this year. Croker is now playing great footy at 9 and getting better with each game. Cad Cust I am a big fan of and provides great coverage at 9 or 6. Kane Lawton could easily be the buy of the season from what I saw last week against the highly fancied Eels. Shuster really starting to dominate. DCE finally found his mojo and finally, just love the Foran influence and the way he is playing these days at 6. Did I mention Tommy T at the back of all that spine?

Not sure we will need Manase this year. Lets just wish him the best of luck with his trial and all fingers crossed for him.

I am starting to think that the stand down rules has actually caused more of a highlight on the game than if say de bellend had just been given a 4-6 week ban at the beginning of the 2019 season. The stand down rule gets mentioned a lot due the debate it has caused. I just wonder if it hadn’t been in place the trial may have been decided the first time round and the media frenzy would have been over and done with, rather than dragged on for a couple of years

I'm waiting to see if De Bellin sues the NRL like Folau did with the Rugby Union and set them back millions. And if successful what will this mean with Fainu if he is exonerated. I know there are differences but I'm just looking at this from a legal perceptive. Hmmm. Murdock press will have a field day.

Someone mentioned on another forum that Fainu is expecting to be back for Raiders game in round 23. IF cleared and this is the case he could be a real smoke weapon come finals time, he would get 3 games under his belt. I know he hasn't played in 1.5 years but if he's fit he makes my 17 every day of the week! Even a sneaky 10 to 15 minute stint

Gee that sounds on the optimistic side but certainly like your positivity . Might be a worthwhile exercise to try a Croker - Lawton starting 9 and bench combination and either or . Lawton seems to have plenty of nip and defends well .
