Watching this game just reminds me how far this club has fallen into oblivion.

Look at the commitment to then footy and the way these guys put their bodies on the line and compare that to the rubbish today.

The overall game is a bore compare to back then too. I know the NRL is trying but the game has lost a lot in entertainment value.

My wife doesn’t even bother watching any more.

You are right, but that was a heck of a game player with good energy.

2009 was a funny old year after the success of 2008. We blew the last couple of rounds to fall to 5th at semis time and lost to a rampant Melbourne. Second tackle of the first set of that game Watmough drops the ball and we were never in the game after that.
