i know this might sound stupid,  but  if a team has spent all of its cap ,they are right on it..  and a player from that team gets MOM award  .. is that counted towards the cap as a payment..  

does it mean they are over the cap then...

I don't know jjai but I would guess no. It does have to be declared as taxable income though, to the ATO.
 
i can remember when moi moi wanted to bring his nephew or cousin to a final series in 08 over from NZ.. the club paid for airfare & tickets for him .. then it was counted towards the cap & they were over..
 
AFAIK they all put it into a pool and use it for end of season party, or I know they used to
