I read what @Stevo said in that he lost a bet with a board member (it was on ch 9 apparently).

Still, Raiders fans would probably prefer one of their own to blow their trumpet and not have 'that honour' to be treated as a board members play thing. Said board member can go play with his own horn, not 'members' horns.

Well...that went to the gutter quickly.

I was at the game yesterday and said to my partner that I thought it was strange as I thought Mal was a Manly tragic. They actually spoke about this when they interviewed him at the ground and they said that he was a Manly supporter. Interesting to find out about the bet........

He got interviewed for the crowd prior to the Viking Horn thing. It was very strange. He mentioned he’s a total Rugby League tragic. No mention at all being a Manly Fan in his life and said he’s a big Canberra Fan. Mmmm ....

He used to park his Trans Am out the back of the Jane Try stand. His number plates were Eagle1 or something like that I think.
This would be going back 35-40 years I reckon as I was only a kid.
